Yeh for sure. At least then Froome doesn't have that TT advantage that has helped him beat the others in many races.

Well yes, providing the route suit him; which means quite a lot of ITT-ing - but as Bardet is pretty rubbish at that discipline, and the French/ ASO would like to see him triumph, I wouldn't be too hopeful that we'll see Tom D.

Froome sprinting for 11th to win the Green Jersey and swell the team pot by about £15k or so. Overall win Mountain top win TT win and green Jersey is pretty impressive.
That's the end of the GT season and the end of summer I guess.

That was for me an thoroughly enjoyable Vuelta. Great to see Contador go out on a high and what a phenomenal achievement by Froome winning and getting three of four jerseys.

If Trentin is annoyed (and why wouldn't he be) it should be at the organisers for dishing out bonus seconds on intermediate sprints, forcing the GC guys to contest sprints when they otherwise wouldn't bother.

In the interview with ITV, Trentin said it was Froome's right to defend the jersey. Trentin didn't seem to be annoyed at all and came across very well.

Just heard Ned Boulting's interview on Talksport Radio, Ned said that the budget for Sky Cycling only amounted to 1% of Sky's marketing budget; great return on investment.

Swear filter won't get you.

But I'm guessing it's Team Sky or the mushFroome's lawyers you're more worried about?

I'm happy to watch on the basis I'll believe a cyclist is clean until it is proven they are not. Maybe that's naivety on my part.

I'm also happy that cyclists who have served a ban can come back and race and win, and I'll believe they are clean until it is proven they are not.

Is anyone questioning Contador's performance or is it just Froome getting accusations of being a junkie?

As far as I am concerned Sky let Bertie win that stage. They rapidly closed the gap when they finally went. But its a better story to have him win his home tour final stage on the last big mountain IMO, so probably a bit of a gift.

I'd imagine that Contador wouldn't have been allowed to dance off up the road quite so often if he'd been higher in the GC standings after week one. Not sure about Sky letting him win though - given Froome's fight for the green jersey I don't see them giving up anything for anyone!

I think Froome was almost a reluctant winner of the Green Jersey he only wanted one Jersey and he has that one.
Its clear they let Contrador win and he must know this, compare this to Pantani and Armstrong the little fella was not amused at the thought of Armstrong gifting him anything.

Based on him contesting the final sprint and Sky contesting the intermediate sprint on the final stage, I'd say he was anything but reluctant.

In the interview afterwards he admitted that it would likely the the only chance he'd get to win a green jersey so he was going to go for it.
