Snooker:- The Masters
Discussion
Wish not granted unfortunately
The results to date are a bit of a shame for snooker on the BBC really because you'd think a tournament without Ronnie and Trump will inevitably get lower viewer figures. Did Ronnie ever give details on why he pulled out? I saw generic talk of 'family reasons' when he first pulled out. Fair enough, but then he's commentating the event for Eurosport. Whilst the two are by no means mutually exclusive, in as much as if you know you can't attend one day of the tournament then you'd have to withdraw entirely, i can't help but wonder what the story is.
Hoping for a Williams win today

I think Ronnie just enjoys doing things on his own terms now. He loves the control and he likes to be different/get the attention however he can. I always feel that it is a shame when he drops out because I thoroughly enjoy watching him play.

Who is the new lady ref on the cct?
Not sure of her name, but she had a right job last night trying to re-spot the pink in a huge cluster of reds because she couldn't reach. Spent ages doing it and then Mark Williams came to the table and asked her to clean the pink ball :-) silverfoxcc said:

Getting back to the game lol
How did both the ref AND the video ref AND the other ref there not see the miss Carter did on the yellow
OK it was close but it was apparent that it didn't move, and Carter claimed it did.
Why didn't they run the VT back to check?
She did not miss it, it was correctly called a foul, was definately a strange one though the way it hit the cusion at an angle and bounced off at the same angle. How did both the ref AND the video ref AND the other ref there not see the miss Carter did on the yellow

Bet Ronnie is squirming a little now after giving up his place and Carter making it to the final.
