Just looked at the BBC News web site - I see Britain has 'won' a bronze...
Fantastic achievement considering the lack of winter sport facilities in the U.K. https://www.theguardian.com/sport/2018/feb/16/dom-...
Glad you guys are all enjoying the broadcasts
Me and my team have spent the last 9 months building the transmission network for all the Rights Holding Broadcasters to get the broadcasts from Pyeongchang to 78 countries!!
Currently have a team of 18 people in Pyeongchang right now running the operational support of the network!
Feel quite chuffed seeing the games broadcast on the telly all over the world and know that it was my project and my team that did that !!

Gotta feel for Elise Christie, hopefully she's OK and will fair better in her last event.
I'm sorry, but I can't figure out Elise.. She got disqualified in all three events at Sochi, suffered psychologically and opened up about this to the world press. Her openness seems just a veneer as she's learn't absolutely nothing from the experience. Crashing out in the 1500m was highly predictable and no surprise when it happened..This might seem harsh, but the tears and brave face makes me want to switch off.

Cheers !!!! Yea she decided to arrive at exactly teh same time, adding a bit of stress and keeping me grounded (and warm fortunately!!!)
Congratulations. Out of interest, are you based at IBC? I was watching some 4K stuff in NBC’s control room yesterday, the level of detail is very impressive.

My whole crew are in the NOC at IBC, Tier 2, 3 and restoration engineers. (we are the Australian mob that is managing the offnet and onnet circuits from IBC to POP's for everyone

we have basically built a fully protected (worker and protected) global 200GB network to transmit all that stuff .....IBC to 2 POP's in Seoul, then on to LA, NYC, London, Frankfurt and Singapore
Think NBC have 2 x STM16's
edit - Pistonheads, always a small world ....

Your stuff sounds interesting though, do you work on many of the major sporting events?
