Oh well it was good whilst it lasted with Woods not playing, missing cuts etc but now 'HE,S BACK"......so all we will now see it tiger walking to the tee, tiger swishing around tiger teeing off, tiger walking down the fairway, tiger talking to his caddie, tiger selecting what stick to hit, tiger swishing away.............(we get the point Mike). Oh and he's 10 strokes of the lead btw but he we aren't going to show much of that. But back to tiger golf prog, tiger scratching his nuts, tiger .....................grrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr.

Not a fan I'm guessing. Although I can see why he is getting so much coverage today, what with him being in the lead and all.
Where is the best places to go for club fitting? I really want to get a new set of irons and wedges (5-PW and 2/3 wedges). I have noticed that my gapping with my current clubs its absolutely dreadful and its costing me on the course (plus... new clubs... more better... ). Probably looking at either Callaway or Titliest.

The BEST places are going to be the National fitting centres. Titleist is in St Ives in Cambs. Callaway is Surrey. Titleist charge I believe. Not sure about Callaway.

If you can find a decent golf pro with the latest tech for fitting (trackman etc) then I'd say you can't go too far wrong, personally I'd avoid the discount stores. My advice would be to push whoever is fitting you on shaft selection, you should be able to try different shafts in the same head and compare the results, get the right shaft then think about the head. He played solid golf, hit most of the greens in reg just wasn't leaving himself close enough. Three putt at 14 (first of the week I think?) cost him.
That said, sinking the 44' bird at 17 made for an exciting last hole! I expect the last man Casey wanted to have eyeing up a 40' putt to tie on the 18th was Tiger, I doubt he has any fingernails left.
All in all, given it's what his 4th tournament back and he hadn't played the course for 22 years, incredible. Looking forward to Bay Hill and the Masters. I've always been a Tiger fan though can see why the amount of coverage he gets could annoy non-believers, but no one can deny what he brings to the sport.

Thanks. I presume fitting is the way to go rather than just buying a set blind because they look nice?
I personally wouldn't buy a set of clubs with out getting them fitted, but I'm nowhere near average size. For the average bloke of 5'10" with normal length arms etc., many people would get away with buying standard off the rack.
That wouldn't necessarily give you the shaft you like the feel of though, or grip size, or the ABSOLUTE perfect lie angle.
Given how much you're spending on a set of clubs, I'd personally always pay the extra and get them right. I'd also try other clubs I hadn't considered as you may find you prefer the look and feel of something different.

Picked up a new shaft for my Epic driver today. Turns out when I bought it last year it had a shaft fitted that was over an inch too short. The shop I bought it from were good about it and swapped it out for the correct one.
No reason to let the bad weather stop me giving it a hit:
Strike pattern was pretty good by the time I finished. This is my last 5 balls:
I’ve just booked our summer trip too. 2 nights, 3 rounds. First day we’re playing The Notts Golf Club at Hollinwell, then we’ve staying at The Nottinghamshire Golf and Country Club and playing both the courses there.

Anyone played them?
I should hopefully have my new MP18 blades by then. I’m just waiting on confirmation of the funding contribution from our work sports lottery then I’ll be getting a fitting.
Mate, that strike pattern is all over the face in fairness. Certainly no chance of consistency with that variance. No reason to let the bad weather stop me giving it a hit:
