Boom, Boom !

Well bowled Curran, good response, after it looked we were going to be on the end of a prolonged spell of chasing leather.

On a side note, anyone else in the ballot for world cup tickets ?
Curran is looking good, Anderson wants to bowl all day - and Rashid still to come. Could be a good day.

and yes - in the ballot again after missing out in June. Annoyingly though, only a few games that aren't on school days which is rubbish as its me and the boy that want to go. Why plan it like that? Dont they want kids going!!

Well I put in for about 2k worth of tickets this time. So I am kind of hoping I get knocked back to a couple of decent seats for the Aussies at Lords (thats the match I really want)

Gold tickets at Lords for the final £295 ... its an absolute piss take.

Indeed - couldn't justify selecting Gold for the final

This is some innings by Kohli - looked dreadful for the first 30-40 runs and could have been out 3 or 4 times but since then he’s played fantastic - a real lesson on how to play with the tail too.

Cook drop was quite telling about where his reactions are, no hand movement until very very late. Milan caught two out of three, but missed the big one.

Felt England didn’t get the run of the game today, missed a review, India reviewed well, catches down, three close run outs but missed every time... etc

One question, after every four to third man the camera showed Root looking annoyed, frustrated and sometimes down right angry. Has anyone told him he can move the field round ?

Disappointing play from England. We cannot play Ashwin. We can still win this, but it is going to be difficult.

Put in for 4 games in the cricket family ballot - got 4 tickets (Headingly against Sri Lanka).

Have put in for a bunch more in the normal ballot but not convinced I'll get any joy out of that.

...Hopefully this is the series where Root starts to look a bit more like a test captain and not the sub fielder.
Hmmmmm.

Not looking good today.

I'm due to be going tomorrow, know nothing about cricket, is it likely there will be play?

Not sure. Unlikely. If there is and if India are batting, pray for a result in under 15 overs for a full refund. 15.1 to 29.5 overs and you'll get a 50% refund.

I see the press are going to be taking advantage for a second day of the shortcut hotkey installed in their computers which inserts autotype text 'England batting collapse'. Sigh.

Boycs fuming.

The pricing of many games is a piss-take. That’s why I only applied for Australia v W Indies at Trent Bridge. Was a total of around £140 for Mrs G, me and my parents to have a fun day out.

If they can get Kohli then definitely. Very finely balanced.

I don’t know if it’s the pitch, good bowling or bad batting but it’s crazy that a 5 day test match produces less runs than a ODI.

I know that the art of staying in for extended periods is a dying art but it’s gone from exciting to stupid seeing wickets falling so quickly.

Great test match so far - England well on top now.
