England V India cricket
Discussion
Top performance today, India also stank, they know it’s gone. Kohli for a duck too is just the cherry.
Some brilliant milestones, and if anyone says Test cricket is dead, or boring- they need to watch a showreel of today. These moment take time to come and are so much more special because of it.
Can anyone remember any innings ever from a one dayer ? (Except that 24 off the last over by Allan Lamb in about 1988).

To be honest I've only ever heard non cricket fans ever truly whinge against test cricket. Tests are and have always been the defining way to play. Even when England were dry humped in the 1990s I watched every test as a kid. Some brilliant milestones, and if anyone says Test cricket is dead, or boring- they need to watch a showreel of today. I love tests.

To be fair to India, Ishant was off for most of the day which meant a part timer had to be bowled and the pitch had nothing left for the remaining fast bowlers who were looking tired as the day wore on. It wasn't a particularly exciting contest between bat and ball so I'm not sure why one would show yesterday to convince someone about Test cricket. Even the wickets at the end of the day were tired shots from the batsmen missing straight balls and nicking one behind. No particular skill on display above and beyond what you'd see in a one dayer, ironically?
Glad to be there to witness one of the finest swing bowlers in cricket history equalling the great McGrath though, while Cook was rolling back the years. Loved watching him play spin, shame he got out to the part timer.
