Well that didn't last long! Wow, what a punch.
Ooof did you hear it. He nearly took his head off.

Wilder may not be the best 'boxer's but his job is too win the fight and with a right hand like that, hes always going to be dangerous.

Wilder may very well be the hardest hitting heavyweight ever.

Freakish power.

Speculation - how do you measure it? Equally speculatively, I'd suggest Foreman, Shavers & Tyson. Bound to be others also in contention.

And that's been done in real life, when? Durrrr. wink
They've all put people out cold, though. Apart from Dolpf & Sllvester Softcock.

Wilders haymakers make great knockout reel stuff but its the other little punches that highlight his outrageous power. The ones delivered with no back lift or setup but still stiffen the legs of his opponents.

I was impressed with the speed of Wilder's jab as well. He's getting better and better at the moment.

Apologies, was meant as a bit of light-hearted fun, not to be taken literally.

Besides, Dolph actually killed his opponent, so I reckon his record as hardest puncher still stands tongue out

Lucky to still be champion...Fury made him look like a mug.

Wilder was on tv (fox I think) for an interview recently, he had done a punch machine thing on the show last time he was on.

They pointed out someone else (can't remember who) had come on and beaten him by a couple of points, playing both video clips.

He replied "yes, but you realise that was my left hand right?"

hehe

As I said on here recently, AJ is really working on building his legs up this year. I reckon it's with Wilder and other punchers in mind

And he’s not very good either. Shambles. The whole heavy weight division

You would imagine he learnt more in the Fury fight, and also the Ortiz fight, than any of his others though.

The thing with Fury is that he doesn't have the power or aggressiveness to damage Wilder, so he needs to escape his power for 12 rounds. Which is not easy when Wilder is so fast, athletic and unorthodox.

I would favour Fury to win a rematch, but not put money on it.

I agree Fury is unlikely to KO Wilder but he was making Wilder miss wildly and look like an amateur. I just don’t rate Wilder highly.

Wilder frequently misses wildly and looks amateurish.
It wasn’t just Fury’s doing.

The accepted opinion seems to be that wilder is unpredictable, throwing punches from unexpected angles.
As such, very difficult to prepare for.

Wilder may feel he has therefore gained more from their first fight, as has experienced the difficulties of facing Fury, and has no doubts he can get to him and stop him.

I wouldn’t be surprised if he stops Fury next time.

I think Fury is hoping AJ takes Wilder on first.

I think AJ is hoping Fury takes on Wilder first.

And both are also hoping Wilder loses his belt against Whyte or someone else.

Furys camp for wilder would have been 90% conditioning and weight loss, imagine how much better fury can be if he goes into camp already fit. Don't underestimate the big fella, I would.not be surprised if he stopped wilder next time. Not a big, concussive puncher, but hits hard and accurate all night. Sadly I doubt we will ever know how good fury could have been, but we should cherish him for what we have, a genuinely skilled boxer, and for me the best heavyweight BOXER I have seen for decades. I doubt aj would put a glove on him, reckon he is Fury's easiest option

You can point out he wasn't fully fit, but you can also point out the gypsy king was born into boxing (hence being named after iron Mike). It's in his blood.

Wilder took it up on his twenties, and AJ too. Studies show you learn best when young wink and 20 years is a lot to have on your peers.

Too early to cherish Fury. He needs to fight the other two!!

And Fury is yet to demonstrate a Mayweather level of defence.

And it shows. Aj is extremely good at the basics but is not a hard puzzle to solve, orthodox, strong, big power. Wilder has the unorthodox style and freakish power. If either catch fury clean they put him down. But I can't see either beating him. Only those who don't know about boxing underate his ability, footwork, adaptability, boxing brain. Wilder and aj have a very good plan A, fury runs through the alphabet.

For what it's worth I expect him to stink the joint out v Schwartz, a bit like Saunders he tends to fight to the level of his opposition which is a genuine criticism

I suspect AJ is a very hard puzzle to solve since Wlad. As he has changed, he now has too much to lose and is willing to be as boring as he needs to be against fighters he fears. As against Parker, he will sit behind his jab and run at the smallest hint of trouble.
