Utterly insane, all we needed to do was keep it steady and safe and the match was won. No hurry for runs it's all about staying in.

FFS. That is just fking dumb. Why bother taking a run if there is a risk of a run out when there are still 4 and 3/4 of a sessions left? I'd be dumping Buttler out of the team for that amount of stupidity.
What ?

Stokes called him, then sent him back...

I've just seen, I retract my statement and suggest that Stokes goes looking for some sky hooks on his return to the dressing room.

It was Stokes’ fault.
He called for the run and sent Buttler back.

If Stokes gets a ton and England win will the whole team get an OBE or just him?

Stokes is going to run out of partners soon. Is he going to have to start taking risks and hitting out?

I think if the top order can’t do it, you can blame the tail. Woakes has suffered under the short ball, so I guess he figured to hit some before he got bounced out.

The run out of Buttler was the key wicket, the rest is kind of irrelevant, we might get quite close here, but I don’t think we can win from here unless Stokes plays a one in a million innings

Can't blame the tail if we fail here. Certain players have massively let us down this series. We need a new opener for starters.

Seen priors tweet and wonder how much he'd be bullying Butler right now where he still in the dressing room.

What is it about short goofy bald men that make them bullies

Good summary.

In the old days we always blamed an England middle order collapse but today, the middle order has done pretty good apart from a dumbo runout from Butler.

You want to scream but actually if we lose then England have shown some spunk today batting wise. I guess that will be lost in the reporting.

Roll back 5 days and Aussies were up for a butt thumping due to their lack of Smith batting.

They have a new Smith and their bowlers are top notch. When Starc cannot get into the team....

Why on Earth are some of you blaming Butler ? It was Stokes’s call, he called yes then no leaving Butler in no mans land.

The most annoying thing about today is yet again all four dismissals so far could have been avoided.
