Definitely. Lunch is late today as it's a four day test... 1.15pm.

And we still haven't even reached the lofty heights of our lowest ever Test score yet.

Ex-England captain on BBC Test Match Special

My wife is Irish. She's been trying to ring me for half an hour now but I'm not answering and it's staying that way

England's highest ever test total against Ireland.

Their golden summer continues as another record is set...

Ireland declares 0-0 puts England in again, not strictly a follow on but... hehe

I couldn't find a thread for this.

I'm planning a road trip to Yorkshire for the last week in August with my 13yr old son.

Want to take him to Headingly for the Ashes as we'll be based in Leeds - It's all sold out - cry

Anyone have a clue as to how much it might cost from the touts outside to get in?

As an aside that CWC final was nail biting to the end smile
I bought tickets for the 2005 (Trent Bridge) and 2009 (Headingley) Ashes test matches from touts outside about 30 mins before the start of play with no issue. From memory, the tickets for Trent Bridge were £80 for the pair for the popular side (a fair bit more than face value) and a bit less for Leeds on the Western Terrace (closer to face value), even though it was more recent it wasn;t as much of a 'must see' match as the one in 2005.

Only done it twice, neither time was an issue - always seen loads of tickets avaialble for cricket whenever I have been but there's obviously a risk - depends how much you want to see the cricket I suppose.

Slightly off topic, didn't realise until now just how much delay there is on TMS transmission over internet versus broadcast. Not quite sure if it's always as much as this, but just nipped into Tesco on way home. Whilst parking and listening on DAB, Aggers was wittering in about selling a flat in his bachelor days. Started listening on phone, quickly went into store, picked up some mayonnaise, a requested magazine for 'er indoors, to coin a phrase, and as walking to till Aggers started wittering about his flat sale. Always thought delays were limited to just a few seconds.

Apparently not.

I wonder what score the Irish will get. Tim Murtagh is a reverse Eoin Morgan, an Englishman playing in the Irish team.

What is Moeen doing back in the team ? Surely not to provide quick runs down the order? He hardly knows which end to hold these days.

Thought we had moved on after dropping him in the WC.

Dreadful performance but always likely.

I don't think we've resolved the issues we had from the last Ashes such as batting collapses and inability to take wickets on flat pitches.
Past me has been watching too much crickit again, right on both counts.

He did witter for a target long time mind you. You may have just caught different bits of the wittering!
