Had a quick game with my usual crew last night after work - shot 82, with two very sloppy 7's on the back nine. I was gutted about the one on the 18th, nailed my driver over the corner on a 470 yard par 5, left myself with 190 yards in, forced a 5 iron rather than an easy 4, caught it thin and ended up in the drink in front of the green - then took another 4 to get down after a Jordan Spieth impression with a lob wedge :/
Love playing this time of year though. Can't beat that feeling of walking down the 18th at 9:40 and it's still light.

Also back out this evening.
Played three rounds since lockdown lifted a little.
1:Worst game of golf ever.
2: Much better - above average
3: One of the best rounds i've played.
I'm hoping tonight follows the same pattern.
The game last night was good. Better than 2 but worse than three. Played three rounds since lockdown lifted a little.

Seem to have sorted the slice with the driver, which is always a positive.
The biggest change i've made is actually thinking about my set up, properly, and taking time over it. In the past I was always the kinda player who wandered up to a ball and hit it. Then couldn't work out why it didn't go in the rough direction I was expecting.

Enjoy them
Today was hot 28* , but we kept cool with the aid of some cider. We played 2x 9 hole course. Shot 47 and 41. One birdie and 3 x 3 off the tee. I’ve changed my grip slightly so I need to remember to adjust my alignment as I usually have to align left to allow for a power fade.... I mean high wafty slice. As a result 3 balls ended up in the crap on the left. But they were straight so I need to stick with it an just move my feet.

Been playing really poorly this year, same old problem I've had for years, not starting down inside.
Managed to hold it together today and hit the ball really well, dropped 4 shots in 9 holes.
As a bonus I actually chipped better too, what a difference that makes!
Mad game, but all the better for it.

Time goes extremely slowly when you’re waiting for new clubs, doesn’t it!!
Serves you right for being all posh and getting new ones fitted. I get mine off Golfbidder / eBay, they're here next day Seriously tho I feel your pain, nothing worse than having to wait for new sticks - how long have Mizuno told you?
