That was unlucky for Pope, but it's nice to see some attempts at positive play. The pitch seems a bit more true today compared to the shocker of last week.

England getting out to the variation again, especially Stokes. Thank god we choose a long tail. Bairstow redeemed himself. England just aren't that good at playing spin. Still perhaps India will struggle against the triumvirate of Bess, Leach and Root.

Better pitch, plenty of bounce, India getting spin bowlers in very early on. England will want Anderson and hopefully Stokes (who has the sts) to start our defence.

Michael Vaughan has it down as the a 250 for 4 or 5 and we were awful.

I will preface my comments by saying I haven’t seen any play yet as I have been busy. However I would say I am amazed at how well Jimmy looks like he is bowling just from the stats. What a champion bowler this guy is.
