I like Kohli - just seems like such a 'proper sportsman' plays hard, but never crosses the line and respects the game and the players. Such a refereshing change from all the aggro that comes with playing the crims.

Excellent start from England following on from the good work in SL. This series however is a very different proposition and Root continues to lead from the front. All the plaudits will go to Root but I thought Sibley was excellent he is just what you need in Test cricket and was the perfect foil for Root. Such a shame he couldn’t go on and get a ton he deserved it. Thought the wicket played really well and exposed India’s 4th and 5th bowlers which Root exploited brilliantly. This is only day 1 and we need a big total, at least 500 because that Indian batting line up looks strong and our spinners are going to have to perform. Still, England’s day but still a lot of work to do.

Agree with this. He applauded when Root got his ton and helped with his cramp. Plays hard but respects the game and opposition players when they perform. I’ll repeat what I said previously...we scored 450 in our last game here and we lost by an innings as India hit 700+.
You bat for as long as possible on this stuff and put as many on the board as possible.
