If the ref cost England the first half, we’ve cost ourselves the second.

How a squad can be so inept and offer up so many obvious, pointless and just plain stupid penalties is beyond me. Thick as mince.
Always tends to go when you're chasing a game like that. The damage was done.

Fair play to Farrell he did the best he could through that post match interview. Wonder if Eddie will be as neutral

It’s a bit like saying you’ve just won the world’s tallest dwarf competition. Yes Wales won fair and square but England handed it to them with poor discipline. Not a great game.

As I said.. excuse ... blah blah... excuse.. we gifted wales etc

Flip it, wales were better, took chances, made points every time in red zone, defended well, pressured England into stupid mistakes

Brilliant game smile

Appalling refereeing aside, at the start of the tournament there is no way I would have expected a Bonus Point win against England.

As a Wales supporter pretty embarrassed by the manner of the victory but I guess as we won by 16 the two dodgy converted tries don't factor ??.

I wouldn't be complaining as an Englishman though given you got it back to 24-24.

Curry brainfart in at the side from about a 5 metre run up;
Ford kicking a promising position straight into the Wales 22 for a mark;
Robson blocking the chaser in front of the ref.

Thick thick thick.
As an England fan I have no complaints. At 24-24 I thought despite the stupidity England were building toward having the upper hand.

Then proceeded to just do more and more stupid things. I get that Jones want them to niggle, get in the opposition face and generally disrupt the rhythm, but it seems to just have spilt over into loads of penalties.

There is something wrong when pretty much all the subs came on and got penalties for stupid play?

I actually thought Farrel, Ford and Slade played ok, some mistakes but quite sharp in attack and not many missed tackles. It’s the forwards for me at the moment. If they aren’t dragged in on Monday given a serious kicking for discipline.

For stuff like Curry coming in from the side surely you are better off letting them turn it over than handing them a penalty. In most of the situations that’s how I feel. Better off backing your defence than giving them the opportunity to kick it for an attacking line out in your half.

You can argue the ref’s calls, but by the same token England were extremely lucky not to see a yellow or two.

England have become very predictable and one-dimensional. The rest of the world have figured it out. It’s a shame, but there is very poor leadership going on.

Ultimately, Wales have got to where they are in this competition by keeping their discipline. They’ve had plenty of poor moments but ultimately they’re proof that discipline wins games. They’re just feeding the opposition. AWJ is very good at crafting this.

I’m impressed by the new blood in the welsh back line. Lots of potential there; whereas with ENG it’s same names, same old.

Having been an England supporter for 50 years, I have now reached the stage where I just don't care any more.
I would much sooner watch my club, Bristol, who at least play or try to play, interesting rugby. My only interest in the 6 nations is that none of our players get injured at the moment. Well done E Jones.

I see England's discipline being poor along with not being able to gel together and change how things are going during the game.
It has to be something to do with match and physical and mental preparation.
They are all good players!

The management style has to be questioned.

Admittedly AWJ skews the mean average, but 902 caps makes it the most capped starting line up in world rugby union. George North with 100, moving to centre to play a role Jamie Roberts would love to claim his 100th too.

There's certainly a feeling of the next generation starting to stake a claim in the Welsh squad.

Agreed and I hope this signals the start of the end for Jones. I’ve no issue with Wales but that is not an International referee.

Thoroughly enjoyed that, stressful though it was. I don't think anyone else has said it, so I will. Congrats Wales on the Triple Crown. To achieve that having been well and truly written off prior to the tournament and scoring 10 tries in the process is remarkable.

Totally disagree, wales scored points pretty much every time they visited the red zone and put pressure on England who in turn made stupid mistakes. England shouldn’t have won and never really looked like winning it.

Agree with Boom. Not sure how anyone watching that game can think England should have won. If they had given away less pens then maybe, but they didn’t and that’s why they ultimately lost the game.

Yep. Regardless of whether they threw the ball forwards or backwards, whether the England players were playing or sent into a huddle, they couldn't fail to score it seemed. Well done Wales, good pressure.. wink

I'm glad we lost, it's a shame that it wasn't by more, and it's a shame that the ref and TMO were worse than we were, but maybe we might, just might start to engage our brains.

Isn't making stupid mistakes the same as throwing it away?
