Handy 8 over 78 today. 2 birdies & a bunch more chances. Finally less than 36 putts which helped! The new (to me! Putter is staying in the bag!

Pretty good scoring when the ball was pitching & stopping with driver biggrin

Got to belek on Saturday for the weeks golf I won.

Played the pines yesterday which was really nice, not played in two months due to a hand injury but played pretty solid. Playing the Dunnes course today.

Nice pics!

I played Saturday and Sunday, after not having hit a ball for 10 days (which in turn was off the back of 5 rounds in the previous 10 days) and I was absolutely rubbishhehe Not even the new driver could save me!

Sunday was a pairs comp where our Stableford scores were added together. We shot a whopping 53 points!! The swindle the day before I shot about 24 points. Useless! Damn this game.

Great pics from Turkey!

Played in Winter League yesterday, turning up to the club at 7 45 for the draw when it was still dark....had a late night Saturday so took me a few holes to wake up, with two blobs in the first 3 holes, but settled down after that and played really well, ending up with 35 points - not too shabby with a quarter of my handicap missing!

Was my first round for a couple of months so was happy to walk off with a 78 with two birdies - short game did most of the damage, getting up and down 6 times on the way round.

Yes, looks very nice.
I"m going in April - my challenge between now and then is to get some game time and build some form so I don't make a complete twit of myself!

Anyone know how to watch The Showdown tonight in the UK? I thought it was going to be on TNT sport but doesn't look like it now

That's a good wodge of courses you've got in there, well done.
I found out this morning that Wales Golf somehow forgot to tell me I was off 17.7. I've been playing off the last hcap they told me, 17.4. Only found out because I had a good round yesterday and got a 0.2 cut to 17.5. smile

No idea but I did like the needle on the range yesterday.

Rory - I'd like to go up against Bryson and get revenge for what he did to me at the US Open.

Bryson - In fairness you kind of did that to yourself.

As the youth of today would say - Burn!

What are Cherwell edge and Tadmarton Heath like? They are the courses my Auntie keeps saying I must go and play with my cousin who's not long been playing. Apparently Tadmarton is the better of the two? I have been to a driving range their way which I believe was at Cherwell.

Tadmarton is a characterful course with a very traditional old clubhouse. It has a reputation the members being a bit stuffy and set in their ways, but I have not experienced that.

I am a member of Feldon Valley which is in the same area. This is the most welcoming club in the area for new members; the way the club runs its tee time bookings and events actively supports the integration of new members in a way that is very good.

Feldon is probably a more forgiving course for a new player.

Cherwell Edge is also a good course; I have also enjoyed playing there.

I think you would enjoy all of these courses. If you are a single figure handicap then maybe Tadmarton is the one you would enjoy the most.

If you want to play at Feldon send me a DM.

I did a trip up to Scotland in May for a number of Mizuno Pairs events.
I also like to take part in Open events at well rated courses, especially if the fee is discounted from the usual visitor rates.
I also take part in the Senior's inter club competitions organised by my home club.

Hence the number of courses I have played. I have now reached a total of about 58 different courses since the end of 2019.

I'm going to try to get up to Scotland again at least twice this year.

I've also just booked to play in open competitions this year at Edgbaston on 18th July and Sutton Coldfield on 27th June. If anyone fancies joining me there are free slots on the same tee times I have booked (send me a direct message for details).

Booked in for a Titleist driver fitting at their national centre in Cambridge in 2025.

Currently playing a '22 Rogue ST Max (Tensei blue)

Fancy a GT2 with a Ventus Red...

Be interested to see if you gain any accuracy or yardage. I’ve also got an ST MAX & love how forgiving it is while not really sacrificing much distance….

Wasn’t impressed by tadmarten a few years ago when it was somehow in the English top 100. It’s not offensive but it shouldn’t be near that list imo..
