He s definitely refreshing with his approach. Have watched some of his other fitting videos.

I only question this as my feet always feel more fatigued over the winter months, mainly when I'm wearing spiked shoes for the required grip.

Could be a factor, I’ve resorted to scholl work boot insoles in the past without much luck.I only question this as my feet always feel more fatigued over the winter months, mainly when I'm wearing spiked shoes for the required grip.
I’ll report back after Thursday, if these aren’t the answer then I might try a pair of these next year…

Apparently they’re very comfortable, I’d hope by next winter, they’d have released some less offensive colour combinations, got to say, I’m not a fan of camo!

Ha! Ross is my local fitter and I've been to see him before, really really nice guy.
Definitely leans into the idea that what a player 'should' have is mostly rubbish, and a lot of other stuff goes into a good fitting.
I'd happily go and see him again once I'm a little more consistent and can get more out of it.

How's your golf going Alex? Would still be up for a game sometime, although probably next year now

I'd still love to have a game some time as well!

Decidedly mid! My year has be plagued by work, house renovations and prosthetics issues, and I played nearly no golf. Very frustrating, but this is going to happen sometime I figure.

Ahh sorry to hear that, just the way it goes sometimes, and you've certainly had a busy year by the sound of it! I almost gave up completely 10 years ago, due to injuries, so I know how frustrating it can be.I'd still love to have a game some time as well!
There's some great indoor venues these days too, worth considering

Played the Al Zorah course in Ajman yesterday. https://www.alzorahgolfclub.ae/
Absolutely poured it down for 20 minutes (whilst playing hole 5 & 6)....
Hit the driver well all day but hit only 1 god fairway wood shot all round, which was the last approach shot of the day otherwise there was a risk of me needing to buy a new 3 & 5 wood.

Fairway wood shots aren't exactly common, unless you're playing the wrong tees, or lots of long par 5s?Absolutely poured it down for 20 minutes (whilst playing hole 5 & 6)....

Finally managed to get out. The FJs were definitely comfortable. But still feel I’ve got ‘tired’ feet after walking 18. Taking it as a sign to get fitter, lose some weight & get back into some form of regular exercise!
The golf wasn’t bad, course was in unbelievable condition for the time of year. 15 over, for 34 points. 4 penalty drops, 3 of which were silly mistakes & completely avoidable. Then one errant tee shot, meaning a 3 off the tee on a par 5 that I then lipped out a chip for par. Very enjoyable round, to close out the year. Hope you all get stockings full of Prov1s!

Played my best ever round today and broke 90, including my first birdie with an absolutely ridiculous putt with a massive break also hit one 280 down the fairway with the wind behind which is my biggest drive ever. Still ended up with a double after getting caught in the boggy fringe twice
My aim was to break 100 in my first year of proper golf instead I broke 90…

Well played LHB, a PB is always great.
I managed to get out with my wife and son this afternoon while on holiday at Royal St Kitts. Great location but massively overpriced at $100 and $30 per set of rentals. I’ve never played on slower greens, it was like putting on shag pile carpet and the sand in the bunkers was non existent but good fun was had by us all. I managed an 89 with a set of M2s that had seen better days and a SLDR driver that was set to draw with no wrench provided.
It was a touch windy though.

Well done LHB, no mean feat! That looks like a stunning backdrop! Sounds like the company was better than the course, which is never a bad thing!I managed to get out with my wife and son this afternoon while on holiday at Royal St Kitts. I see that Koepka has left LIV, it'll be interesting to see if he plays any of the DP events and eventually re-joins the PGA or perhaps he's had enough if he can't get back to his major winning form.
Must be hard to be motivated when you've got all that in the bank but find yourself not being able to recreate that past form.

I heard that LIV aren’t going to pay the same as the original contracts when players renew so maybe we will see a lot of players leaving LIV and waiting out their suspension from the tour before trying to return. There seems to be some dissatisfaction as they were originally told that they wouldn’t play as much or travel as much as they were when on the PGA but this isn’t the case.Must be hard to be motivated when you've got all that in the bank but find yourself not being able to recreate that past form.

I could have written this exact post. Went out on Monday with the seniors, scored 34 off 14, no blobs until the last when what looked like a very good tee ball was somehow lost, course was in amazing nick and I had sore feet after! The golf wasn t bad, course was in unbelievable condition for the time of year. 15 over, for 34 points. 4 penalty drops, 3 of which were silly mistakes & completely avoidable. I have 2 pairs and they feel very different. The Tour Alphas are very hard and my feet ache after 18 holes if worn in the summer. I only wear them in winter now when the ground is soft.
My Pro SLs are incredibly comfortable and completely different to the TAs. Even in summer my feet ache less than they do wearing the TAs in winter.
