Scotland v Ireland today.

Who do we want to win? Or, perhaps who do we want to lose?

A bit tricky?
A draw would keep things close.

Or maybe switch to uncontested scrums like League, or do away with scrums entirely and just give possession to the wronged team. They're an anachronism.
I’ve heard some bks in my time but this is close to the top.

What is the purpose of the break weeks in the 6 Nations?
Is it to give the players time to rest and recuperate, or is it just so their clubs are not missing some of their best players for 5 straight weeks? Or some other reason that I haven't thought of?
Rest period. Test rugby can be quite tiring compared to the club game.

Jesus Christ the commentary…”Scotland are 40 minutes away from beating England”..
Factually correct though. He could’ve added for the fifth time in a row

I can see Wales just becoming more cohesive as a team over the next few weeks, culminating in a win against England.
That would not surprise me. Nothing motivates Wales more than playing England. I wish them luck as a ste Wales is not good for the game and I’m speaking as a devout England supporter.

One excuse I can think of for MS playing 15 is seeing Jason Robinson in that position - sadly MS isn't JR, very few are (in fairness he was a total freak)
Completely agree. One of our best FBs was Matt Perry excellent under the high ball and could counter attack. Mr Angry was another. Both over 6’

We didn’t. They screwed themselves with numerous silly errors

turgid was mentioned earlier which I agreed with - however, upon reflection I think it's probably too generous. It's a (seeming) total inability to play as a team - there were flashes of some decent stuff followed by a total brain-fart, I can only imagine that this is down to piss-poor coaching.

As a positive I did think that Elliot D was very good - and, for the first time in years, I'm not sure that anyone played particularly poorly so that's good
I know he wasn’t on for long but JvP does not look like a test player
