Something similar, going back to UFC on ESPN 7 - Struve v Rothwell.

Round 1 Rothwell swings a leg kick, but hits Struve in the crown jewels, Struve is clearly affected takes the full 5 minutes and the referee Dan Miragliotta rules the kick accidental.
IMO Struve wins Round 1.

Round 2 Rothwell swings a leg kick and again hits Struve in the crown jewels, whilst Struve is recovering Miragliotta deducts a point from Rothwell.
Miragliotta then asked Struve if he can continue, tells him that the round is almost over and believes he is ahead on the judges scorecard (IMO making it 20-17).

So should Struve take a no contest or continue fighting for another 60 seconds, take a break and then continue to fight for the 3rd and final round?

Struve continues as he wants the win without taking the full 5 minutes and is still taking deep breaths, Rothwell knowing he needs a stoppage to win goes all out and stops Struve, who visibly had not fully recovered from that kick.

The women's straweight title fight last night was one of the best fights I have seen regardless of gender. Wow. Those guys left it out there and embarrassed the male headliners who, it seemed, didn't want to fight.

I've just watched the headline. Strange fight but it's obviously a high stakes game for both of them. More on Romero for not pulling the trigger IMHO. Adesanya played him at his own game, picking him off and just watching for him to explode.

Is it me or did Paulo Costa look like he was wearing lipstick and make up?

Was so disappointed in the Main, I think the Co Main being so good didn't help but damn

Khabib still stuck in Russia, so the main event is Ferguson v Gaetjhe for the interim title, winner to fight Khabib.

The main event was an epic, not having the crowd there really changed the atmosphere of the fight and helped the winner keep his head and remain on task.

As well as his great striking, Gaethje has very good takedown defence.

I'm sure Khabib would rather have been facing Ferguson next...
