Alot of teams id thought would have a great start have suffered;
Thought the Giants would stuff the Cowboys Week 1
Cowboys faltered against the Bronco's

Thought the Browns would do well this season as they went 4-0 in preseason
Thought the Rams would do well

But ill think itll be a Raiders vs Pats for the AFC

Got 11/15 correct this week (week 1 - 10/15), just a shame i keep picking 2 of the losing teams in the acca so dont win any money
Certainly been an interesting first few weeks in terms of games and wins/losses. Roll on Sunday

Raiders 2-0 for the first time in 15 years bounce

A long way to go yet but my concerns about the defense seem a bit unfounded, no doubt there are plenty of problems still but not looking as catastrophic as I had feared. Gareon Conley had a pretty good debut at corner which bodes well.

As a Giants fan I was expecting some good things this season. New TE, new WR to help Beckham but we look useless on offence. Spent a ton of money on defence but when the offence are consistently not scoring and giving up the ball its tough for them.

As much as I love Eli he looks old at the moment, and very static in the pocket.
100% agree.
Giants fan here too. O Line are really giving us away at the minute and well, it'd be nice if Eli realised he could move a round a little more in the pocket, he's almost static from the last 2 games.

I don’t know a great deal about NFL however having read a few articles recently linking the sport to brain damage I thought this piece re Aaron Hernandez was worth posting.

https://mobile.nytimes.com/2017/09/21/sports/aaron...

Can anything be done to make the game safer?

Aaron was a wrong un long before he entered the NFL. Shame as he was also incredibly talented.

Would require a massive rule change and become more like rugby with the air tackles, hurdling and the other athleticism would need to stop. Ive got 3 different eras of helmets ive worn and the tech has improved over the time but theres not much id imagine they can do, with even Schutt (who make or made the safest helmet on the market) say its a pretty pointless test procedure/certification

NFL London Tickets

I have 2 x adult & 2 x U16 tickets for Cardinals v Rams at Twickenham on 22nd October, 6pm KO, bought as part of a season ticket package but the KO time doesn't suit our U16s unfortunately so we're prepared to let these ones go. Block M21, row 55, (middle tier, behind the goal) face value at £170 for all 4.

Donald Trump successfully managing to ps off every black player in the NFL with his speech on Saturday - moron. As expected quite a few players have hit back / commented about it in their press bits, and also on Twitter. Some have been surprisingly restrained whilst others pretty direct, but in all of the seriousness there has also been a few funny Trump based jibes too.

On a completely different note, and just incase anyone isn't aware as previous years every UK game has been covered live by the BBC either on 2 or the red button, the Wembley game this afternoon is only being televised live on Sky. For non Sky viewers there will be a 90 minute to 2 hour highlights package broadcast on the red button on Monday afternoon between 5PM and 7PM.

Edit - It appears the BBC have also added a 1 hour highlights package being broadcast at 12.10am on Monday morning, so that should also appear on the iplayer at some point I presume.

As NFL games go it perhaps wasn't the best advert for newcomers to the sport, incredibly one sided but I still enjoyed watching it - especially as I was watching it on an American TV channel that interspersed the game coverage with the occasional shot of London landmarks with voiceover to tell the American viewers what they were seeing!

The game will probably be remembered the most though for the Anthem protest... as the first game of the week I think many of the other teams would have been watching to see what the Ravens and Jags did and Khan standing in unity with his players sent a very strong message.

Interesting times in the NFL right now.

Aaron Rodgers ripped the bears to shreds last night. The Bears really need to make a change, theyve got nothing really to lose , nobody is expecting them to do anything so why not Start Mitch Trubisky ?

Certainly been some interesting wins and losses so far this season!

I agree with comments below about the Bears, nothing to lose in making big changes from what I can see.

Is it just me who hates the new look NFL site? What happened to the scores across the top and the in depth game reviews in the game centre? I'm not interested in trying to watch loads of videos and listen to other people's opinions.

Dolphins and Saints was possibly the most boring game I have ever sat through.

Pats lose, Raiders lose ( thought they were the best team in the AFC west ? wink ) and Texans destroy the Titans !

We (bucs) scraped through against the Giants in what should have bee a comfortable W. Our kicking woes continue with 11 points technically missed , but he did manage to pull himself together and hit the game winning kick.

Not sure if it was officially available on TV over here but the Falcons game yesterday was a much better match than either of the London ones has been.
It also afforded a good look at the new stadium that the team are playing in.... of special interest to me because the old stadium was the first venue I ever saw a game live (more than a decade ago during Vick's reign)

Yeah the game at Wembley wasn't a thriller. Glad the Saints won, but it was littered with penalties and neither team really got going. I was expecting a higher score as the Saints have a shocking defense, but great offence. Oh well.

I stayed up and kept an eye on my team the Giants falling 0-4 in another shocking performance. I suspect it wont get better during the season.

Great to see some more upsets this week.

You had a pretty decent comeback though. Your o-line is poor and offensive coach looks clueless. I went to bed at 13-0, how was the rest of the game ?

The Texans gane was outstanding.

From their shocking opener against the Jags, to scraping a win over the Bengals. Then, taking the Pats to the wire at Foxboro where they lost on a silly play call right at the end to destroying the Titans.

The new rookie QB has them playing with a bit of belief now.
