I got 16-1 with Paddy Power. No idea what odds they were a couple of weeks ago before the OBJ announcement.

Some way North of that, I'd suggest - not Leicester City, but hey.

NFL related, sort of.

We're planning our draft for next season's fantasy league. We've now increased to a 10 man setup (rather than the weak 8 man league we've had for the last 2 years) and need somewhere bigger than a living room for our draft.

London is a central gathering place for all of us so are thinking a bar or restaurant in the city. Has anyone got any experience with arranging this sort of thing? the main criteria are: excellent WiFi, food and drink. Any suggestions for good places?

Belushi’s? I’ve not been, but thing the BBC NFL lot do stuff from there sometimes. Would need to check with them about wifi!

Is anyone paying close attention to The Draft over the next few days? Anyone especially hopefully for a certain player? (No first round pick for the Browns so I'm just watching from the sidelines)

I've been watching a bit of college football last season, but not enough to get a proper idea of who are really the best prospects, but the general consensus among those in the know seems to be that Nick Bosa and Quinnen Williams (both DE/edge) are both absolute beasts and should go in the top 3. Lots of noise about Arizona using their #1 pick to draft Kyler Murray, but it might be a smokescreen to get someone to trade with them for the top pick - especially as they already have Rosen at QB. Murray was amazing for Oklahoma last year, but lots of folk think he's too small to make it in the NFL. I'm inclined to agree.

I'm a Giants fan cry and we have 2x first round picks. If we don't use one of those to pick a new QB (or trade them to another team for a QB) then I'm writing off next season before it begins.

On a slightly unrelated note, I just bagged tickets for my first game - Bills @ Titans in October as part of a road trip around the deep south. Can't bloody wait!

Edit to add: Browns may not have a first round pick, but they have added OBJ and Kareem Hunt (once he's done with his suspension) - it's going to be fun to watch the Browns offence next season.

I'd be ok with raiders selecting three edge defenders in the first round. biggrin

Could possibly finally get that middle linebacker we need though I guess.

Patriots pick last in the first round. They'll probably trade the pick, pass on everything until the 3rd round then draft another Gronk. They'll pick up a couple of nobody's in the later rounds, take some unwanted misfits in free agency and then do what they always do. Get to the Super Bowl.

I didn't think Giants' offseason could get much worse, then we go and draft Daniel Jones at 6 when he would've been available at 17... I am yet to read a single news article that hasn't universally slated the Giants' draft picks! Bloody hell. And to top it all off another guy we drafted has been injured in a shooting. FFS.

Chase Winovich in the 3rd round is a steal for the Patriots. Have a watch of the All or Nothing documentary on Michigan Wolverines (Amazon Prime), which features him a bit.

Read elsewhere that the manger was worried that he wouldn't be available later, as 2 other teams were interested in him.
Happy my WhyKings finally picked up an Offensive Lineman in the first round.

The ex-colts punter Pat McAfee.... Brilliant! Apologies to Titans fans!

Currently watching the All or Nothing documentary on the Cardinals. How quickly things have changed since their 2015 season!

One of those two teams has said they weren't interested - seems to me he's saying that to lessen the deluge of criticism for drafting him at 6 when we could have taken Josh Allen instead and Jones at 17. Haskins is a much better QB than Jones. Trading OBJ for the 17th pick looks even more of a waste now.

ETA - this is all complete speculation, you never really know if the picks are any good until they've been in the league for a few years. Brady didn't get picked until round 6, so I'd love to be proven wrong and for Jones to turn into a legend. Plus we've got Saquon Barkley and he's awesome.

Jones was trained by the same coach who trained the Manning bros. no? Should be at least a good barrometer.

Raiders look like they have got some real steel in the draft, some very aggresive players to sure up our swiss chees defence. Everyone also thinks we got a steal with Renfrow in the 5th - but as with others time will tell. Really looking forward to see AB tear it up in the silver and black

Yeah, he was apparently - maybe it's the press who have got it wrong and the GM is going to be a hero somewhere down the line. A lot of folk thought Pat Mahomes was drafted too high at 10th pick, so it's a bit of a lottery.

Raiders have been generally slated as reaching for Ferrell at 4 but, as I saw pointed out elsewhere, if the guy is good no one will ever remember him as a reach and if he's a bust then he's a bust regardless of where he was drafted.

Thing is, if Mayock and Gruden decided he was their guy then they could possibly have traded back but to do that you need a willing partner and there's always the chance someone else nabs him. He was, I think, regarded by many as the number 2 pure pass rusher on the board after Bosa and it's pretty obvious from the selections that the Raiders are targeting culture change which, may have elevated him on their board.

Draft grades are ridiculous anyway in my opinion, every year late rounds players ball out and top picks turn out to be busts, the only measure of a draft class really is their multi-season production.

I think it's pretty well known that accuracy doesn't get better when you transition from College to Pro...and his accuracy was pretty woeful.

Miami fan here and fairly happy with the draft and the trade for Rosen.

Interested to see what the Flores has in his plans for starting QB.
