Sky caught that live. Bumble was commentating just by himself I think actually and Sky just kept the cameras and mic on the guy and the group. Bumble's comment "Go on big lad!" Brilliant smile

Brilliant, I've just been looking through some of the other ones that the TV never seems to pick up on..."Shagging Matlida"..."You're are the covicts" and my personal favourite "Brett Lee takes it up the arse" which prompted the other half to comment "I thought cricket fans were all polite posh toffs?"

hehe

Seeing those celebrations makes me wish I'd made the effort and gone there.

Never mind, there's always next time.

I made the effort....sadly I was four years early! At The Gabba in 2006 to see Harmy shove it down second slip's throat.....this tour didn't seem quite so attractive after that. Doh!!!!

I've done the WIndies a couple of times, never made it down under but I'll get there sometime. I'd planned to go out in 2006 but someone offered me a stupidly well paid contract so I didn't go.

I really should have quit my last contract early and gone there. Never mind, there'll be other tours.

Surely Oz fans never judged our quicks by Martin McCague?

Would have undermined their 'England are only any good because of the colonial ringers' argument?

I don't think they did really, but you could always answer back that he might have been rubbish, but he supposedly drank 72 pints of Guinness on a stag do in Dublin. Which of course makes him a legend to all Australians.

Although I've never met him, Mr McCague and I have a mutual friend. And after a few evenings in the garage which said friend converted into a pub, I have little cause to disbelieve the Dublin story.

Looks lke some of the players went to the Barmy Army's end of tour bash

http://www.youtube.com/user/njgage#p/a/u/0/nJmxyJi...

Think that's a great thing for the players to do.

I can imagine John Terry et al doing the same thing......

That's because the cricketers just have respectful fun & drinks with the Barmy Army. If the footballers did the same with the football fans they'd end up having a fight and shagging some rough hanger on who's only goal is to bag a premiership salary maker husband or sell the story to the highest bidder.

New theory: apparently it's all down to the weather, La Nina causes interruptions to the warm dry weather that is the only weather the crims bowlers can perform in and England bowlers are used to.

Take a look at the article in today's Daily Telegraph.

You couldn't make it up.

I pretty much read the print off the DT every day and missed that one, you must have got the one that was for pommie consumption ( much like Fosters ).

There was plenty of talk about how badly the players performed, that some should have never been selected and the coaches should have seen the writing on the wall in Brisbane and started to try to resolve the issues.

Bottom line and it has been offered up by you lot more than once and we have agreed, we played st.

Looking to the future out of the team in the 5th test I keep, Watson, Siddle, Kawaja ( sp ), Haddin (c), Smith and probably Beer he did bowl a lot of dry balls before getting flogged late in the day and has potential.

Bollinger, Harris and Katich need to come back, still need to find two quality bats Maddinson may prove to be one of those but would likely replace Katich so still holes to fill.

I'd also shoot the coaches and CA admin for letting our true breeding ground of test players, the Sheffield Shield to become the shambles it has.

The test players must play as often at that level as possible to a) maintain match fitness & form and b) bring the younger players through.

Only one extra batsman for the first 11, you forgot Hussey.

Hauritz instead of Beer.

Totally agree, I know you're looking to the future, but you cannot overlook Hussey, in a team with that little experience. Agreed you'll need to replace him eventually (2 years?) but he offers a lot. The guy would have 10k test runs if he'd been selected sooner.
