On the off chance he is on here I'd like to say hello to the owner of the late model Esprit with the personalised plate. Enjoyed the friendly convoy yesterday evening on my way back from the Nurburgring, I was in the red Corvette C6. byebye

Yup good fun, I couldn't tell what your car was from just the head and fog lights. I appreciated the flash of flame from your car when lifting off for traffic. cool I must say that it looked very clean in my headlights. What sort of power and weight is your Esprit?

Weight is around 1250kg, power around 330...which is pretty much all you can get without mechanical mods on the 4-cylinder

Red race chip 1.25 bar boost max, I’m running 1.1 bar
De-cat
K&N panel filter
Forge wastegate
Engine rebuilt 20k ago, new pistons & liners etc

Paint wise, its not bad for a 24yr old car wink, I’ve had it for 9 years and still love it

Yours is a beast, how did the Esprit do when I pressed on?

A similar power to weight I would guess? Mine left the factory with 400 bhp/400lbft, although 205,000 miles later I'm unsure how many of those horses still remain! It's a hefty beast at 1477kg, plus myself and luggage, but from a rolling start I don't think that's as much of a problem.
I was gaining on you, but only slightly and not enough to see the exhaust flame out the corner of my eye. biggrin

Here is more about my car if you're interested: https://www.pistonheads.com/gassing/topic.asp?h=0&...
