JUST BOUGHT A WINTER PROJECT! ESPRIT SERIES 2 BODY WITH SERIES 3 CHASSIS AND WHEELS.
BEEN STORED FOR YEARS, THE FRONT SUSPENSION LOOKS ALL NEW AND SORTED, ALTHOUGH IT APPEARS TO SIT HIGH?.
THE CLUTCH PEDAL IS SEIZED, THE DASH IS NOT CONNECTED, BRAKES APPEAR OK. COOLING FANS HAVE BEEN REMOVED.
ONLY 6 OWNERS IN 29 YEARS!
ANY ADVISE OTHER THAN BURN IT?
BASED IN NAZEING ESSEX IF ANYONE IS LOCAL TO TAKE THE *ISS!!!!

and you paid hopefully not more than 1300pound?

or was it even free of charge?

please consider: these cars do not have a high value. the original condition is very important and often counts. so please ask yourselves: would you like to invest further money in a project which is from the beginning relegated to be an outsider in the future where you never will get the invested money back?

You best reserve that 5k plus for the engine build, don`t do it yourself otherwise you will loose your sanity.I`ve just finished a turbo engine build. There are a lot of experts each with their own ideas of what works . If you buy genuine parts, beware the pistons and liners are very dear.Liner height is critical as is the sealing time for the liners before you fit the head and typical lotus, everything is marginal with no room for error. Oil pressure is 5lbs hot at tickover, 25/35 at 3500rpm. Let me know if you want help, we are in Sudbury Suffolk.

Please tell me that you have masked over the rear light units rather than removing them!

OF COURSE I REMOVED THEM!, ALSO FRONT SCREEN (BROKE THAT !!!) WILL REPAINT ORIGINAL COLOUR CARNIVAL RED. TOOK 1/4 GLASSES OUT IN FACT EVERYTHING EXCEPT REAR SCREEN, DONT WANT TO BREAK THAT AS WELL!
WIRINGS A MESS THOUGH, NOT LOOKING FORWARD TO THAT.
SUSPENSION SEEMS VERY HIGH FRONT AND REAR, EVEN BEFORE I TOOK ENGINE OUT.

waiting for one of the four branches for the exhaust,so wont get to put engine back for 2 weeks, still waiting for spoilers.spent about 4k already on bits!at this rate i might get a job on wheeler dealers- they normally lose on a project.
Any esprit people around nazeing for help wiring the dash clocks in, the previous owner removed all the wiring connectors, labelled them, but they are all unreadable! dont help i am colour blind.
