But seriously though, why *wouldnt* you do your own sarnies and cooler bag for this sort of event??
Simply because we stay at a hotel with only a small drinks fridge in the room which is why I asked about keeping it fresh. One couldn't make sarnies on Thursday evening and expect them to still be edible on Sunday hehe So far it seems those who do it either travel daily from home or have kitchen facilities.
Sainsburys in Chich on the roundabout. Pop in each morning, buy some sarnies, some snacks, 10 mins, job jobbed.

Because then what would people complain about? I mean, it's totally unacceptable to be "ripped off" by chosing to buy something when there are readily available alternatives.

Take your own food. <clip> I do all three days
How do you keep it fresh or do you live locally?
Impressed at a cpl of families we encountered on Madgewick banking this yr, they had camping stoves up and going before we got there, getting their own full English breaky sorted! Thats a bit too hardcore for us, breaky sausage bap and cup of tea in the Aero club does us. Still, got to be impressed at the effort.
I know the Blokes you are talking about. I was sitting with them on Sunday morning. Had hamburgers going on the stove for lunch aswell....

To be fair, the theme of the thread is the high prices charged by the food vendors. It's fair comment to say the prices are high. Most of us (I assume) can afford a bottle of champagne or two, but we're fully entitled to shudder at the prices. smile

Indeed, it certainly appears to be poor value - but no-one is compelled to buy a £6 bacon roll. And if you choose to buy one, it's hardly a "rip off" when there are plenty of other options freely available. You can get just as much pleasure from the Revival whilst avoiding buying the food there.

If people can't be bothered to investigate the options, or bring their own food, then they can choose to pay for that convenience, and hopefully subsidise the ticket price!

I just don't really understand the mindset of people who moan about the price of something they either (a) don't do or (b) choose to do.
