From all the horror stories about the weather it looks as though I am the only one who ventures outdoors in winter. It's Sussex in early spring and so it might be a bit parky - but it isn't Murmansk!Come rallying in February and I 'll show you cold ...
You joke MM73 was the coldest I have ever been at Goodwood. It was even freezing inside the shell building sheltering from the cold! entry list out : https://www.goodwood.com/globalassets/.road--racin...
I realise OP will only be there on Sunday but anyone else who is a first timer, the Saturday night party is worth sticking around for.. It's more of a collection of unusual and crazy entertainments but very good imo. My favourite act was the lederhosen'ed oompah band playing rock and roll anthems.. Usually centred round the aircraft hangars (the great hall) plenty of music beer and crazy things to see and do. Good fun.

Goodwood theatre at its best. My fave was Dirty Old Brasstards.
Ive been a regular at Revival for 10 years, usually I hate dressing up/wearing a tie (no dearest stepfather its not a drop in standards its just I feel more normal in practical comfy clothing!!) but for the Revival I actually enjoy togging up a bit - the first year my daughter aged 7 at the time asked why I was dressing up as a farmer (well we do live in the Cotswolds!!).
As for MM, its my first time and I can see they have guidelines rather than a dress code, but like some previous posts I have been drenched and frozen at Goodwood more than once so I'm going for practical but not scruffy. If I do feel rebellious I may go commando.........
Looking forward to Saturday, and hope weather isn't too uncooperative - annoyingly we have to leave at 4 as my daughter has an 18th to go to in the evening and its 2.5 hours dash home for us.

as for the weather, its looks mild and cloudy, yet dry... *touches wood*
Slightly panicking as I've just noticed on the website it says about pre booking an under 12 child wristband but when you click through says no tickets available. At the revivals they've just given one to my son at the gate, will this still be ok? Also can't seem to find a timetable for this year's online although I'm probably looking in the wrong place
Can't answer about the wristband I'm afraid but the timetable is here:

I phoned the office about this. They had no kid's wristbands left so said just turn up at the gate, but if the young one looks older than 12 to bring a passport (so I took a photo of it with the mobile just in case). It shouldn't be a problem.Cpt Stirling said:
