Cheers. Your's aren't too shabby either!

Nikon D7200 and giving a new Sigma 150-600 it's first airing plus a Sigma 10-25.

Must admit I was quite chuffed with how these came out as getting good shooting positions is nigh on impossible in the places that make the best shots. I spotted a few places where the second line of fences had a gap for the pro-photographers so it was possible to shoot through the first layer of fence and then through that gap in the second....but still a bit of lightroom needed to get rid of the fence blur.

Never shot race cars at night. That was pure trial and error. Just run through the settings you think might work, pan, and hope for the best.

My mate had that sigma with him too, it was very impressive how sharp it was. Finding decent angles is a nightmare at LM, there really are very limited spaces where you get the nice shots as you say. This year has made me want to get a proper camera, I shot with a 5DS which is an amazing camera, but not really suitable - the autofocus is pants even with an L series lens. Its only saving grace was the dynamic range it had. The heat this year did dissuade me from venturing around as much as usual.

A few of mine from the week - most were taken from the banking on the outside of Porsche curves - one of the few places where there's a clean view over the fencing. One of the great aspects of this location is the lighting when the sun goes down - check out the Jackie Chan LMP2 - the white swirl effect was reflective in the low sun

great shots Nigel, 7 years I've been trying to get somewhere to view porsche curves, gave up after multiple tries as the last time we went it was private campsite access only! Please tell me there is public access somehow, always wanted to watch there.
