Only had it six months tops..

The silicone seal just won't seal the lid with the body any more. Real pity as I was starting to enjoy my morning coffee on the train.

So I'm thinking about buying an alternative mug.

Anyone here have any thoughts on the Camelbak or Stanley Classic One Hand mug?

What are thermos like nowadays?

I'm after something which can take daily use and is reliable for a start!

Thanks

Klean Kanteen gets my vote. Keeps coffee piping hot for 6ish hours if you get an insulated one with a cafe cap.

Our camelbak's crapped out after a similar amount of time. Likely it was me ripping the lid off while it was under pressure rather than the seal actually going. Other than that, they were really good.

They keep drinks hot for about an hour.

If you like a decent sized drink, consider one of these:

At work we get charged 10p for a cup with milk and hot water. It's paid for itself many, many times!

Brevelle Coffee Express and Amazon Echo Dot. Connect it to a smart plug, fill the coffee maker, switch it on and turn the smart plug off. When you wake up, tell Alexa to turn on the coffee machine and it will be ready to go when you step out of the shower!

Don't be mean - it only took him 6 months to start enjoying drinking out of a mug.

I think the best one I have used is the Wild Bean Café one's that are like a fiver with a latte thrown in.
Lasted many years no leaks, doesn't burn you, dishwasher safe etc.

I've had 2 Bodum travel mugs. The first lasted 6 months or so, but started cracking internally and the second one cracked the first time I put hot water in it.

I have an Avex one, it's brilliant. Keeps drinks hot/warm for a few hours, hasn't leaked at all, it's about 2 years old and works like new .

One handed operation too, ideal when driving. They never fail, ever. Just superb.

The Bubba ones that Asda do aren't too bad, dishwasher safe too, they are about £5.

The best one I've got, which I use every day, is one that I got from the dollar shop in Florida. That's not much help to you though!
