What are you bag carriers carrying inside your bag?

Camera kit in my bag.

Good to hear that it appears to be sorted from Thursday.

Walked in with a camera bag, not searched. A bloke just in front of me went to stop at the tables and was waved on through, a marshal/attendant/whatever told him its a random search.

Yesterday all queued up until 7am then they started mixing the queues and just randomly started letting most people through bag or not wasn't well organised

Why not complain if thay have 4 people doing bag checks for an event that attracts 150k people.

Doubling the number of bag check staff would cost about £30 per hour.

Thursday was a 10 minute queue for bag searches. I'd chosen to take food and a rain jacket in a small rucksack so I knew it would be searched on entry.
The non bag-carriers were waved down a seperate channel and straight in, although it wasn't obvious this was going to happen when you simply joined the back of a queue.

I reached the front of the bag search queue, I held my rucksack out to the staff at the search tables and was waved through with a 'Random searches' comment from the staff.

The bag search staff appeared to be just students earning some money, are they the front line against terrorism?

Bag searches and security is here to stay, so we just have to plan for it by allowing extra time.

Friday AM; my bag check experience was a delay of about 45seconds. Saw I had a very small/light bag and just waved in.

Saturday, I took my car through to Performance Parking, where I was treated to no search whatsoever, and we had a full boot!

I went on Friday and Saturday and was carrying a rucksack but didn't get searched either day- I think they were busy looking through other bags.

The cocker spaniel search dog did give me a funny look, though!
