Just interested as I've not seen too many complaints about this for 2017...

Did Thursday feel like a proper Festival of Speed day this year, rather than the Moving Motorshow with some stuff uncovered in the paddocks etc if you were lucky? I'm mainly wondering if, aside from the hill itself, everything else was pretty much as you'd find it on Friday-Sunday?

I know it's the first year it was advertised as a FoS day proper (so complaints previously were somewhat unjustified), albeit with a different hill climb schedule with a mixture of Moving Motorshow, Supercars and a bit of competition practice, but I'm hoping it might be an interesting option for next year.

I used to love the Friday 'enthusiasts day' and Thursday seems to be going that way.

No it didn't feel like a proper Festival of Speed day, it never will in terms of lack of cars out on the hill and there was still quite a few gaps/covered cars in the paddocks.

Unfortunately it also didn't feel like a proper Moving Motorshow like previous years due to the lack of manufacturers etc.

Not complaining though, still a great day out without the large crowds of the weekend.

Thanks, your second point was my main concern. 100% expected a different day on the hill itself as they made that side of things pretty clear, I was mainly wondering if everything but the hill itself could be covered adequately so I could, for example, attend on the Friday as well having done all the static stuff on Thursday and therefore focus 100% on the hill.

A shame then that stuff was covered or missing, I'm sure they made a point of the paddock being like the full FoS experience on the Thursday this year.
