Hi, I cant seem to find many reviews online aside from Beermountain, do people have an experiences on Thomas Cook camping? In particular for someone travelling solo who will be using public transport so I dont have a car to lock stuff in, security is really important to me. Not after a wild party atmosphere, just solid and safe

All you should ever have in the tent is sleeping bag - maybe air bed or foam if floor not comfy and a pillow.
I’d not be keeping beer or food in a tent - it would be in the car boot in an ice box plugged into the fag lighter.
If however your going to go down here without a car then take a ruck sack with you with anything important. Though aside from wallet house keys passport and generally entry ticket mobile phone what else is there of any value to nick? I doubt you’d have Louis vitton bags packed with high end brand new designer gear.

Thomas Cook Sport has excellent security and safety deposit boxes. The food is good so no need for a stove etc. Toilets excellent showers too. Not too far from tram to pop into town and get there.
Very good site location.
I stayed there three years in a row. As the group got smaller we cope on Houx camping non private now.

Not used TC but most of the private camping options will have a large marquee, satellite TV, bar and be offering 3 hot meals per-day. Given how much TC charge I'd expect waiter service.
Outside of that you can walk in to the 'village' where there's everything from a permanent and temporary seated restaurant down to snack stands. Or you can walk to the tram. Just past here are a couple of restaurants, or you can get on the tram and head in to town.

Thanks I went with a pre-erected tent as I'm going to be in France for 2 weeks in total and cant be bothered lumping it around with me.
I didnt go for one of the meal packages, but I assume you can just buy it. I've found at Spa for the 24 I ended up not really having proper meals as I was snacking the whole day.

Agree, the food is worth the extra on TC good quality food, you can buy as you go but when we aimed to do that they had run out.
That said they are very good at estimating quantities, the only bad thing I ever hear about TC is the prices. But you get what you pay for.
The food at the circuit ranges from ok to truly awful. Spa has much better food in most cases than Le Mans, Breakfast as most Private Campsite on the meal deal will be a full english each morning.

Don’t worry about a trip to Mulsanne/Arnage. If you get the mini train down to the porsche curves there are busses just outside the circuit. They take you to arnage and Mulsanne. Both times I have used them late night Saturday it’s been fine. Just watch out for last times. Mulsanne is not something you can walk arnage is just about doable. Does anyone have any experience of that? From what I read, its solid traffic to those corners, so it sounds like I would just sit in traffic.
I would go with the circuit buses as these are free and you can spend as long or as little time at the corner. Also if you miss the bus from the campsite then no loss of wonga,

Great thanks, sounds like I have options. I'm looking forward to walking a few yards on the flat unlike Spa.
Looking at the schedule, there is an hour between 2nd and 3rd qualy on Thursday, if the weather is ok I might just walk it then, especially if as you say, its busy on race day

It is probably more then an hours walk and the 10pm bit is usually when the pole time is set. Cooler but still some light left also means people have almost no chance of beating you as its then dark.
That said its the best time of day see the cars there from evening into the night. Certainly at Arnage people could spend all day there. There is also a bar that does food there.
