Didn't want to start another thread as this one is already weather related...
Anyone local know what the state of the car parks are? Not a lot we can do about it I guess, but best to be prepared.
I got stuck at the Revival last year (sunk in whilst parked) - now have some grippy mats that will be coming with me.

I have Chicane Paddock parking, so will be on hard standing (I hope) - I can only imagine what the field car parks will be like, especially by the end of Sunday.
I love that Goodwood persevere with a 'dress code' for the Members' Meeting. It's usually freezing, particularly if you venture around the circuit (very few seem to bother!) so practicality takes priority over dressing up.
Looking like 3c max and 15mph winds at best this weekend, that's going to feel pretty brutal at Goodwood.

Yes, from experience, Goodwood is a very exposed place on a cold day. Ski kit and thermal wellies sound the order of the day. Amazing to think it was shirt sleeves, raybans, and deckchairs for the very first Members Meeting.
Whilst they no doubt have weather insurance, it will have a very high excess, so they are only likely to cancel at very late notice. But you cannot surely race when there is sleet/snow on the track.
Will be ‘interesting’ getting my Pantera there on Sunday for the Members Parade.

Snow aside, any issues with any of the more exotic racing cars getting tyres up to temperature etc? I'm guessing the saloons etc will be fine, but I can't think of too many occasions when, for example, the Group 5 cars, would ever have been racing in near freezing conditions.

Quite. On the motorsport spectator scale my clothing will be nearer the 'Rally GB' end than 'Goodwood Revival'. My warmest clothing tends to be rather bright, but I can't imagine for a second anyone is going to care.Edited by ukaskew on Tuesday 13th March 20:39
