Snow forecast?
Discussion
Next batch of single seaters about to race. Coming in from the West the snow got less as I approached Chichester. All roads fine near the circuit (although may have applied a bit to much power too soon coming off one of the roundabouts, for a quick brown trouser moment) with some covered in mud.
Parking was fine with a gentle right foot, the Porsche behind me struggled though.
The best thing I heard:
BMW Owner “where’s the parking?”
Attendant “all parking down there and turn left”
BMW Owner “is that Members parking?”
Attendant “It’s a Members meeting”

The cynic in me thinks if Goodwood make no mention of weather conditions (local or otherwise), and particularly offer no travel advise. They can just bury their heads in the snow, crack on regardless and have zero comeback re: refunds etc.
Maybe people should be prepared to think of the Members meeting a bit differently. It's a cheaper event aimed at members who know the gig. A bit of self reliance is all that's called for. Make up your own mind if you want to attend or not but the event is going ahead. The very attraction of Goodwood is that it's a bit different, can't imagine most people want it to be run like all the other overly commercial events. Stiff upper lip, blankets, water-bottles, a bit of hassle in the fields - all part of the charm. Olf said:

I did have a smile at their advice on Twitter this morning to 'bring the 4WD'.Olf said:

Overly commercial, they already have that tee shirt...

MM entry is more expensive than Revival - 2018 GRRC member Revival ticket was £66.20 for Saturday only, but MM weekend ticket was £120. In 2017, Revival for Saturday was £64.60, and MM for Saturday only was £75.Grandstand tickets at MM are cheaper though...
