Terrible.
Left about 5.00 Managed to get some way then stuck. 3 of the "volunteers" refused to tow me as a 1956 GMC van doesn't have a towing eye! "What happens if I rip the bumper off?" The bumper is at least 3/16" thick. I said I would take responsibility. No go. Eventually a little quad pulled me out no problem!
Oh, the rather "robust" young lady on the crossing patrol got very upset because I crossed the road without her say so! There weren't any cars in sight........

Brilliant racing today btw!

D was very heavily cut up today after it was heavily used yesterday, esp by team trailers and motorhomes!

Mum's Pug was towed onto the track way by an Estate Disco. Very efficient, done in 5mins. Bit more tricky was doing all this, whilst trying to get dad from the chair buggy to the car, when the mobility ppl were really enforcing today's rule that buggies were not allowed off hardstanding at any time!

Still, it was all managed and with a cheerful face.

Cripes I got stuck on the way in when traffic ground to a halt which was very embarrassing but made sure the way out was done at speed

No issues getting in or out for me...but was in the wifes smax with winter tyres. Had to keep it moving acroas the grass and aim for the closest bit of metal pathway. Roads in north hampshire getting covered in snow again. Commute to work tomorrow could be interesting...

Anyone spot my blue Merc Vito attempting to bury itself axle deep! Screw in toe eye gone awol so lobbed all the cardboard I had in the back under the back wheels but tyres now so caked it just spat the cardboard out. Car park quite empty by this point but then came the lightbulb moment.... Clambered under the back and the rear toe eye isn't screw in, result! Mahoosive tractor fished me out backwards.

One of the very best events I've ever attended, well worth all the shivering and the icing on the cake was following a Jag XK in the snow with the roof down and spitting flames.

Thanks for the updates. The old SLC got in and out just fine. Whilst people did get stuck there were plenty of vehicles to help and I thought they seemed to do well by and large.

I just finished the GRRC post-event survey and my only comment was to urge organisers to communicate to attendees that there are resources on-hand to help with stuck vehicles. They won't ever be able to stop a field from getting muddy if it rains but confidence ahead of time that we will get out in a fairly timely manner would be very helpful.

Absolutely. Paranoia got the better of me and I left very early on Saturday, partly due to concerns getting out of the car park and partly snow incoming near home (further south west).

As it happened I would just about have been ok with snow at home had I stayed later, but being there alone and I think in a particularly boggy bit of car park where several vehicles were stuck first thing in the morning I was really anxious to get out. I didn't see any staff or helpers in the vicinity but I guess more were on hand later in the day.

Two young lads managed to help push me out of car park C on Saturday. I was about to give up and go find a tractor so was hugely grateful to them.
As I mentioned elsewhere, the thought of doing that again on Sunday meant that I bit the bullet and parked in the multi storey car park next to Chichester railway station. I may have been perfectly fine in A but certainly don't regret using the bus. The only down side is waiting impatiently for the damned thing to set off...
Obviously, no one can control the weather but if you are going to park thousands of cars in a field in March it's fair to say that, statistically at least, there's more chance of it turning into a swamp than not.

After watching the last race I managed to get out of the car park with some assistance, it was so churned up at the bottom from sending everyone up to the top that I think (despite all their traffic planning) that Goodwood needs an emergency plan to use the exits at the bottom of the field too, I could have got to the gate at the bottom with a little help from gravity, even with no throttle I got stuck trying to go up, (first time stuck, but also the first time in Carpark A) help was very efficient, thanks to everyone that did, I've not seen the car in the daylight yet but I suspect it won't be a pretty sight, I hope there no permanent damage to the wheels from spinning / being dragged in the mud

Thanks to all that raced / worked / marshalled / spectated, it's the coldest I've ever been !

Did same as you, Wotnot, following advice elsewhere on forum. Free shuttlebus service worked fine, didn't have to wait long at all either leaving Chichester or coming back. Stayed til the last race, the 'farewell' announcements in fact around 6-6.30? Delicate drive back to London via A27, A24, A23, M25 through the returning snow flurries. I always make the effort to go out to the far side of the circuit; often the chance of some entertaining incidents. Minshaw spun the Lister right in front me this year, no other spectators in sight. Later passed the sad aftermath of Shaun Lynn's roll - ex Bob Jane aussie car looks a right-off, but what's the news on Shaun? And to my eyes the guys demo-ing the Group 5s looked pretty quick coming around Lavant - plenty of fire-belching form the red 935... and that blue Fruit of the Loom 320 was visibly quicker as well.

Bad memories of the state of the car parks back at the Revival and the age it took to eventually tow my E30 out in total darkness; played safe at the Members Meeting.

I took the Defender as the forecast was for snow so I wanted to guarantee I could get home.
I helped push (by hand) a few cars and towed a van onto the metal roadway. Interesting moment when a weapons-grade bell-end (in a Discovery, alas) tried to cut between me and the van behind which was on a short-tow on a high-viz strop. All 4x4's should carry a tow strop and know how to use one as I like to think the courtesy of towing someone out of a ditch/hole/field offsets the bad experiences people have of RRS/X3/X5 etc parking in disabled bays/cutting people up. If more 4x4 assisted the poor tractor drivers wouldn't be rushed off their feet/get home late.

Having lost (my fault) my car at Goodwood and getting it mud covered leaving (just) I bought a package last year for Revival, parking at Goodwood Hotel, transport to track in vintage cars through the Goodwood Estate. Same for lunch, then at close of play.
The ease of parking, transport and lack of queue (and posh bogs for the companion) made for an even better day out.

Think it's car park A that is entered from New Road.
For the other events they close those entrances and everybody has to exit to Kennel Hill. This makes the exit track a mud bath and therefore people get stuck. The (useless) parking company needs to be told not to close the New Road gates.
