Security / booze
Discussion
Seem to be total arses this year. Searching at BSJ for booze. It’s unclear exactly what is too much, but they have been trying to confiscate some beer and spirits.
Also had issue due to caravan for first time. Told I need 2 or 3 tickets...
Hide your booze gents. Leave a token amount on show...

Arrived at bsj and went through security. They didn’t do anything. Just looked at the campsite marker on the front and waved us through.
Edit:
Been through twice now after going to super U for food and beer. Again no interest in checking what is in the car. Looked at the campsite marker and waved us through. I am assuming that they note I’m on a private site in bsj and I’m probably not going to cause trouble.

We came in to BSJ at 1700. They asked how many cans we had, we said 4 each and they could see about that number scattered around the car so they let us through. As long as you have a few on show and the rest hidden away you’ll get let through.
Another option is to come in without any, set up camp, then go out to get some and they don’t search you on your way back into the campsite.
Happy camping.

No problems getting Booze into Houx. Smuggling into the circuit was 100% successful.
Ditto. Every year I read the same moaning, and every year I'm completely unaffected. Without exaggeration, we must have brought 20 slabs of French stubbies onto houx. This was specific to BSJ
It was not hard to snuggle past security, although the search was marginally more serious than normal
They were turning people away at the main entrance with cans of lager or any other ‘alcohol’ no matter the container type.
There needs to be a clear policy published by ACO on what exactly the rules are.
It seems to be no glass, but the staff are enforcing a no alcohol ban.
Glass ban, I understand. But serving alcohol in the track but banning it coming in can’t be put forward on any safety grounds.
They didn’t find our box of wine in the rucksack... so happy days.
