I saw that on the stand and knew nothing about it. I thought it was a mock-up, like a "see what we could make if we had the funding" sort of display like you get.

Then it ran the hill eek Bloody astonishing yikes
A family member moved to California to work on this (after working on the secret Apple project for a few years till it was canned). Absolute beast of a car.

I had letter in Motor Sport this month but it was about Lagonda at Le Mans in 1935 biggrin
I read that. Good on you, good point.

True. Although FoS is a lot better than most gigs and no worse than going into Poundland on giro day
I tend not to do either of those either. biggrin

Porsches everywhere! It's like EVO Magazine brought to life! smile

(Yes, I know it is a celebration of 70 years of Porsche)

Oh, I see. I thought it was 70 years since the invention of vermouth.

Oh so that's why the GT3's front bumper was held on with gaffer tape later on in the day. I did wonder.

This has been a long running problem at Goodwood. Poor grouping or control at the start line resulting in faster cars/drivers catching slower moving vehicles.

Enjoyed Friday as much as I always do - so much to see, some world-leading cars, always something new to see.

Manufacturer stands were somewhat smaller than previous years which was a shame, and no moving motorshow tent either.

No matter how many people on here complain it isn't going to make the slightest difference - it will always sell out. People fly from around the world to come to Goodwood - I feel very lucky that it is so close!

I have stopped going to the Revivial but really enjoy the Members Meeting now.

Not been to the Silverstone Classic for a few years but going next weekend. Always find navigating around Silverstone very tedious and it's terrible for spectating - so far from the track to the spectating areas.

Pretty poor driving....he didn’t seem to brake at all even though he had a clear line of sight

My thoughts, track action better than last year as was rally stage. Britcars very good again gas show which I usually enjoy not up to the usual standard. Food prices I only buy brekkie and a beer take my own stuff so not bad. Shame tescos don't sell goodwood ale or lager anymore. Enjoyed all 4 days moving motor show never really interested me so made Thursday more enjoyable. It will always sell out and I will be there for 4 days again next year

There’s is a rise on the track there so not certain it was a clear line of sight. Also very sunny with lots of dark sections easy to be blinded there.

For what it's worth... talked to a mother of three who went to the FofS yesterday with her husband and family and they loved it. First time they were there. She even confessed that she thought she might now be a petrol head. Not a word of complaint about anything. They live about ten miles away, so no great sacrifice to go. But it was a great success for them.

Had a fantastic day there on Friday, it was fairly busy but never had to queue for anything.

Left home at 10:30 and was in with a fantastic sausage and egg roll by 11, just in time for the F1 demos, the v10 engined BMW was sounding epic.

Less manufacturer presence just meant more time to mooch around the paddocks seeing the interesting stuff.

Last went on a Thursday and the whole punters in dull new cars having a go was pointless so glad they caned that.

According to the app my all time favorite racing car, the sauber c9 was there but could not find it or it’s paddock spot, did anyone else see it or was the app wrong?

The mclaren stand was well done and whilst the senna is every bit as goping in real life, the 600lt looks bloody awesome, first time I’ve ever thought that about a mclaren. In fact I was so impressed I bought a car there and then. Unfortunately it’s only about 2 inches long and requires some self assembly biggrin

Indeed. yes

I get quite stressed when it gets to a certain density of people, and had to stop going to the FoS and that was something like 10 years ago so crowds are by no means a new thing.

Currently watching the live feed on YouTube and loving it, and part of me wishes I was there. But I know I wouldn't cope.
Same here. The livestream is a great addition to the event. I've watched it that way for a few years now. I haven't been to the event for quite a few years. I'm not saying I'll never go again though as it still turns up rare and unexpected historic vehicles.

Those electric cars were impressive I have to say - although they still sound like milk floats.

Far too many people touching cars in the performance car car park. Makes my teeth itch.

I wont be parking my supercar in there anytime soon, mostly because I can't afford one, but also I'd rather not have some scratch it..
I spotted a chap leaning on the McLaren F1 in the Style et Luxe paddock while having his photo taken.

I went along on Friday, it was fairly quite and was next to the rope at most places I stood. Enjoyed the day, although as has been said, the stands weren't as good as the last time I visited.

The performance parking/supercar bit, what the actual f**k is wrong with some people? I saw scribbles in dust on various cars, including a Chiron! Hand marks and scribbles all over £2/3 million pound and rare cars, do people have no respect?!

I remember voicing the same thing back in 2003 and getting ridiculed by many for suggesting that writing in the dust on a supercar was "showing a disgusting lack of respect" (as I put it)

Feeling rage just looking at that.... and not just cos of the desecrated F40; put a goddamned shirt on, man. Show some bloody decorum, it's not feeding time at Iceland! The worst thing about this otherwise beautiful summer is the number of fat, disgusting freaks waddling around semi-dressed. Cover yourselves, mutants. Seriously, unless you're David Gandy, you're gonna look better with as much of you hidden as possible irked [/rant]

Totally! It makes my blood boil when I see this and also kids leaning on cars and their parents not giving one. Even some of the car park marshalls were leaning on rana's newly delivered urus!
