Busted for speeding and need a little help ...
Discussion
OK - so stupidly I took the bait on my way down to Le Mans this year, put my foot down further than I should and promptly got busted for speeding.
However I was just a little too quick for a straight forward fine and confiscation of my license - I was actually given a date for a court appearance as part of the process (early December).
As a result I need the help of a French, English speaking solicitor who can assist me with the process. I am not protesting the fact that I was speeding in any way, I just need some advise on the process and, if possible, if I can be represented in court without having to appear in person if possible ..
SO - any one know of a legal firm that can assist me with this, their details would be appreciated

Do you have to appear?
I had my licence taken away - albeit back in 2005 on the way home from LM - at the roadside. I recall I paid about €150 there and then and got my licence back about three weeks later along with a court order enforcing a three week ban that had expired by the time I got my licence back.

Yes I need to appear ....
I had my license taken on the spot - a follow up letter when I got home with a further ban PLUS the original court appearance letter generated when I was stopped.
Nothing on the follow up ban letter (4 months) suggested that it was related to the court appearance. They took 500 euro from me on the spot which I was advised was a holding deposit against my court appearance..
