Evening all,

I’m trying with little avail to get hold of a pair of paddock passes for the Revival - I realised too late the only way of getting them is to be a Goodwood member.

If anyone has some not in use (Sunday only we need) please message me.

Too late is a couple of years (membership waiting list 2-5years depending on who you speak too.

Some occasionally pop up on eBay but at a very high price £230+ for a pair!!!

Ouch, that much of a waiting list - I had no idea!

Yes, in contact with a couple of eBay sellers, think that’s my only real option.

- incidentally having reread my initial post - please don’t think I’m asking for something for nothing, of course I’m willing to pay for the tickets (if that’s not against forum rules to state that here)

First year's GRRC membership will be over £500 anyway with the joining fee.

The paddock pass gets you in with the exotica but there are plenty of other paddocks you can walk around freely. To be honest, if you're only going for one day you'll have plenty of other things to do anyway.

Not forgetting a lot of the cars back up to the fence so you can see them from the outside.

Yep that’s what I heard about the paddock fence which is good enough too.

6 of us are flying into the UK to go so wanted to do it properly, including the paddock visit if we could.
So to be fair a pair of paddock passes split isn’t much outlay.

Like has been mentioned it’s no biggy if we can’t, seems to be a struggle to get our hands on them some at the mo.

To be fair it's supposed to be impossible. If a sold pass is traced back to a member they are liable to be expelled from the club, but I suppose with the price they are commanding some members are willing to risk it.

If money isn't an issue then paddock passes also come with the more expensive hospitality packages. I see the "Goodwood Mess" package is still available on the Sunday at £536!

As Ian says, Paddock Passes are not for sale so frankly they should not be commanding a price. If you already have two why not just use those?

If you are willing to splash out a bit I would recommend the Officers Mess hospitality for a day.
Not cheap but we thought it was great value and a little luxury without being stuffy.
Great trackside viewing, access to pits, come and go to your own table throughout the day and flowing drink and food.

I didn’t have any, but was looking for two to do exactly that.

I’ve managed to get a couple now though,
Thanks for the advice and to those who PM’d.
Looking forward to the event, and yes, I think next time I’ll do the hospitality.

as a member of GRRC since day one, in '98 and GSA before that, (luckily enough for me i now get Press Accred)

If a member of the club is caught flogging a badge, or paddock pass, its a fairly swift exit from the club.

that said, join the waiting list and pay the membership, its well worth it. But, i am a tad bias towards Goodwood.

You can just look confident and walk in the paddocks. Nobody really checks

That’s not true. Certainly in previous years and certainly today they stopped me every time they didn’t clock my pass. And yes I look confident as I’m allowed to be there.

Well it was busy but either way, it’s a lot of extra dosh if that’s all you want to see.

I like how they’ve set prices for all food and drink across the place. Very Disney 😁

Paddock pass is zero cost assuming you are a member. If you are not, then any amount of paying isn't going to make a difference - waiting list and all that.

Good is actually good value... Just had a large plate of chips for £4 which isn't dramatically different than the shop up the road at home.

Passes were definitely checked, though I noted a number of 'mechanic' arm bands warn be people who clearly were not. Also quite a lot of last year's GRRC badges...so much so I had to check my own in case it was me who had brought the wrong one along.

Settringham Cup parents get a mechanic arm band. They're definitely mechanics but may not look the part!

Armbands you get issued a certain amount so quite common to pass on spares. When I used to get them if I had leftover I’d do a ring around for whose available for the weekend. you still need a valid wrist band.
