Have not a clue where to post this so mods please move if not in the right "events" section....

Fancied visiting for years but never been to the museum at Bovingdon before.

Got a chance to visit in a couple of weekends but its not entirely convenient; which is the better day you reckon, Tiger X or should I wait for Tankfest next year? I appreciate the novelty of seeing the only working Tiger but the other event sounds like more of a spectacle.

Cheers, hope its not too embarrassing to admit that I have not heard of the War and Peace Show before. Looking at the website its been around a long while too.

Its not a corner of the country I get to very often sadly, plus I'm not really into these dressy up lifestyle events really (went to the Goodwood Revival this year for the first time and must be the only person who didnt like it...)

Been going to War and peace since 2010

Its not the show it once was in my opinion.
Back in 2010-2011 there was a lot more on display than there is now.
I remember once just the german group had two replica Stugs, a Panther , a Panzer IV along with half tracks and support vehicles.

Recently its just been Two replica Stugs over and over
Seems the fact that everything being more expensive has affected owners of military vehicles too.

Tankfest would get my vote.

You will see so much more unique running stuff at Tankfest than you will at War And Peace.

However , if shopping is your thing then war and peace is amazing!

Cheers all. I called in the tank museum, though not on a "special" day. It was immense! Thoroughly recommended for anyone into war history or machinery.

I'm sort of pleased I did "do" a normal day actually as you really need a full one to get a good look at all the exhibits properly, catch the timed demosntrations etc. If you just did a special day and tried to combine inside with live stuff outside you would miss out on both.

Very true

I have been at Tankfest , Tiger Day , and a normal day.

The Normal day was actually one of my favourites.
My friend and i were the only ones in the Tiger collection.

It was actually rather eerie seeing the beasts in silence.
