I heard somewhere that the starting grid for the kinrara trophy was circa £120m...
It never ceases to amaze me how people with totally priceless cars can still race them and be "fully on it".
I guess if you own a £3m+ plus car though, if you absolutely wreck it, a full rebuild would be in the region on £500k, so from a financial view it's always worth repairing....

I've read that some owners have had replicas made of their cars and race those rather than the priceless original. I heard somewhere that the starting grid for the kinrara trophy was circa £120m...

You’d be right as well. If you look at pictures of the races, you’ll often see cars which never had slip diffs fitted accelerating away from corners with one drive wheel clear of the deck. There were more 250Fs present a couple of years back than Maserati actually ever built, and a shark nose Ferrari, which was a rep, as Ferrari destroyed the originals ( although the guy fully admitted it was a rep, and it’s a very good rep at that). I think Tony Pond wrote an article a few years back pretty much saying that he thought only reps should be raced, keep the real cars for show.GOATever said:
