My favorite Goodwood event by far now.
Same here. Suspect this year may be my last Revival. Love the racing but it’s getting too crowded and the whole “vintage” vibe thing is now completely overdone.Have any of you completed or seen the survey regarding the MM? It's slightly concerning because it asks would you like to buy a Saturday evening & Sunday racing only ticket? And... would you pay for an exclusive viewing area, or words to that effect. Seems like Goodwood are trying to squeeze more money out of the event which would ruin it in my opinion. Enjoy it in its current format while it lasts
How does a Saturday evening/Sunday racing ticket change or affect anything?!
Exclusive viewing area depends on where it is. There already *is* exclusive viewing areas - various parts of the control tower infrastructure, the grandstands etc.
The MM instantly became the best event of the three from the first year it was launched.

The exclusive area thing is a seriously slippy slope. I get that they want to further monetize an event that must have a fairly low ceiling in terms of profit, but the whole point is that it's an open event.
Fair enough have grandstand tickets, that's different, but as soon as you start segregating attendees by wealth you're chipping away at the whole reason the event is what it is.
If it's not balancing the books I'd rather they just jacked the ticket prices up 20%, it's already incredibly expensive and yet a sell out, so they have still have scope in that respect.

The food outlets couldn't cope with the numbers on Saturday evening as it was, it would be worse if there were an additional number of people who only turned up for the evening entertainment. Or at least that was my quick thoughts on the matter. ukaskew said:

Segregation is already happening, the control tower was for VIP's only, as was the roof of the building over looking the start finish straight, directly behind the starting podium. Also there was an area of fencing which was only for guests of the governors. I'm sure there were more areas where only the right wrist band got you in. However I did bump into plenty of drivers who were very friendly and all were happy to have photo's with my son.
