PH at Le Mans Classic 2021 - sign up now!

It's a bumper year at La Sarthe next year, so here's how to be there for Classic and 24...

The Mulsanne straight is slowly creeping its way onto the horizon, the noise of some of the greatest race cars ever are starting to become audible, the smell of race fuel is opening its attack on your nostrils - this can only mean one thing... It's time to start planning your trip to Le Mans Classic 2021!

LMC is taking place on July 1st-4th 2021; last time around it drew a crowd of nearly 200,000 spectators, had around 700 classic race cars competing over the weekend, and won the 2018 Motor Sport Event of the Year! And who better to be attending with than your favourite car website, PistonHeads. As usual, our private campsite on Bleu Nord is the place to be - it's incredibly popular and you'll be joined by 450 like minded people for a relaxed, friendly, motorsport-focussed weekend.

You can enjoy the superb benefits of staying with us and our longstanding partner, 1st Tickets, which include but are not limited to:

  • General admission to the race
  • Up to five-day return Channel crossings available
  • Pre-allocated camping pitches, allowing you to have a leisurely drive over and not worry about finding space.
  • Cooked meals during your stay (three full English breakfasts and three evening meals)
  • Large marquee with cash bar with live TV coverage of the race
  • Private toilets and warm showers, no long queues like there are in the public campsites
  • Fenced perimeter for your peace of mind
  • On-site security, including night patrols at the weekend
  • Free Wi-Fi access and charging points

You can of course head into the public camp site if our private section isn't what you're looking for, or you can purchase just ticket and travel options so that you can find your own accommodation. In addition to your accommodation, camping and ticket packages, 1st Tickets can book your grandstand seating, your PH Display Parking (exclusive parking in the Bugatti Circuit - eligible vehicles only), and any parade laps you wish to partake in on the Le Mans Circuit (again, eligible vehicles only)! All of which can be found when building your package.

The Le Mans Classic is not an event to be missed, so if 2021 is the year you want to take a trip of a lifetime to watch classic Le Mans racers tear around the historic circuit, drive the circuit yourself and display your pride and joy on the Bugatti Circuit, you can check out our packages and prices here.

See you there!

I am all booked up and very much looking forward to this. Was persuaded by the pre-erected tent bit on the private site because I am weak like that.

I plan on taking the Citroen SM (presuming it is behaving itself) and look forward to meeting everyone there.

Off topic but the SM is one of my all time favourites. Not sure I’d ever be brave enough to own one, though ...

Nice collection you have there.

Excellent news! The SM will be an amazing addition to the site - don't think I've ever seen one of those.

Pre-erected tents are a god send after a long drive, plus when you're hungover and sunburnt on Monday, putting down a tent sounds like hell.

See you there smile

1st time with pistonheads, 1st time at LeMans. Should be an interesting drive 770 miles to get there for me! Scotland via tunnel. Yep could have gone from Hull, but prefer dawn time attack.....

Thank you that is very kind. The SM has been away for a couple of months having some fettling and subtle upgrades including reinstating the air conditioning. I thought that sufficient excuse to post this gratuitous photo. Here he is alongside my GS. Apologies if I had put this up before somewhere.

Are PH organising another meet this year at LMC? We attended in 2018 and your event had some excellent motors show up in the grounds of some local chateau

I’m told there will be a PH display area at the circuit though I don’t know anything more than that - I’m sure Ben will confirm what’s on when the arrangements are all sorted.

That Château is up for sale but I don’t think it’s been sold.
That may affect any plans or commitments that the current owners may make.

I'm trying to get something in for LMC! Chateau is a no go unfortunately...

If anyone has any bright ideas, I'm all ears ears

LM Classic curious virgin here. Sell it to me! Interested in hearing about the racing format as well as the general atmosphere, particularly in terms of comparisons to LM24 which I have attended many times since 1996.
Cheers.

I last went in 2018.

It is fantastic, chilled out, the cars do appx 1 h per decade (appx), then swap.

how about one on our doorstep....https://en.chateau-amenon.com/

i'm sure i've seen pictures of cars outside it a few years ago, possibly when it was for hire as a whole unit?
possibly a tad pricy, looks to have been transformed somewhat by the present owners.
only got around 200m or so before deviating om my MTB into their woods at the back
