I’m going with my son but didn’t get a space although I registered weeks ago ?
Anyone want to meet around the Guildford area before hand for a drive down via the petworth route?
We used to meet at the cathedral and all make our way down from there.
I’ll be in a C63s pp cab
i could be up for that - i'll be heading down from Reading way so can certainly stop by and meet up. Will be taking it fairly steady though as i'll have my son and his friend in the car
I'd be up for this too!

I've applied just now with my V6 MR2 but there's no way to note it's engine conversion on the vehicle register so I doubt I'll get in or they'll even consider it...

That sounds like an interesting car with the engine change - hope you come along so I can have a nose!

Just coming back to my original question as I haven't been to one of these before, what time does everyone generally arrive? I don't want to get up at stupid o'clock to find I'm Billy No Mates smile

You'll do very well to be Billy No Mates at a Goodwood Breakfast Club. They are usually rammed but well organised - doors open at 6:30am.

If you don't want to queue for breakfast (first or second), then 0630-0730.

We arrived on the grid at well before 7.00am and it was already quite busy, queue's weren't too bad at that time but wouldn't want to arrive much later.

I think a lot of people would have been interested in it, and I would have actually opened the engine bay for a change, alas I've been rejected. I'm out for a thing the night before, wasn't going to drink if i got in to goodwood but think i'll just have to give this one a miss and enjoy the night out! Enjoy smile

I'm hearing that this event is postponed until June..

GW posted a "who's looking forward to Sunday" on their twitter and IG at around 2pm, then i heard a rumour so i asked them if it was still going ahead. They deleted their IG post without replying. The twitter post is still there ( at the moment ) but they haven't replied to that either..

Got 30+ cars due to drive down so would be nice to know....

Indeed, would be good to know!! How do you imagine they'll inform people of this decision?

You are not the first person to mention this, had a text from a mate this morning saying it was cancelled.

Nothing official yet though.

i guess its because the car parks will be a quagmire as there's almost an inch of rain due in the next few days

Good point. Not sure what conditions are like currently down that way (I live in West London) but guessing it is already wet, and won't be getting any better over then next few days.
