Just booked myself and the boy tickets to see Ford vs Ferrari Friday 7th August, anyone else going?

Not bloody cheap the robbing bds, £63.40 per car eek but though it would be a laugh and justified it as we’ve spent bugger all because of lockdown...

Yes, popping along. Tried to get Rush first off, initial allocation didn't make it to public sale it seems but now going at a later date on 11th August.

But yeah, unsure if they'd get away with £55 a car in a non-C19 world.

hehe

I was there on Saturday I couldn't see anything... as its there for several months it must be somewhere out of the way to not get in the way of normal track activities... I'm guessing Tesco carpark...

Yep, taking the OH down for her birthday.

It's a couple of hours drive for us - any suggestions for an afternoon out nearby? Is Petworth still nice & worth a visit?

We’re heading to see Rush. Planning on going in the Tuscan and am assuming they will use the Over The Road field but that is just a guess.

Petworth I always find a bit dull. Midhurst is nicer imho.

I’d imagine it’s in the large main carpark on
the RHS as you come in, at revival they did have a vintage Tesco there some years if that’s what you mean?

I was considering it when it first appeared but after looking into the details it was a definite no.

£50 per car , windows must be closed , and convertible top must be up. Food not included in price.
I quite fancied the idea of watching a film with the roof down in my Mustang , but over £50 to see a film i have seen before with all the windows shut.
No thanks.

They’ve changed the rules now. Rooves can be off and windows down.

Went tonight. Was good fun. Slightly cheesy supporting shenanigans while parking everyone up but all in good spirits. The speaker they give you is good quality. We took our own food but lots of deliveries to cars going on. There was also an ice cream shuttle cycling around.

I’d definitely go again for a film I fancy.

According to the website you aren't allowed to bring food. laugh

Have just been this evening, and yes you can take your own food and drink if you want to.
But .... what a rip off. It is NOTHING like in the YouTube videos. It is merely a drive in movie. For £60 a car. There is nothing remotely Goodwood about it. Go with low expectations and you won’t be disappointed. The ‘entertainment’ as such was some girl wearing her grandmothers curtains riding around on the back of one of the Goodwood golf buggies before the movie starts.
And that was it.

Pretty much the same as most of the current pop-up drive-in cinemas then. Advertised to look like some beautiful 1950s Americana experience, actually just a screen in a field and some overpriced catering!
