What chippy crap.
They’ll be involved in some way, car owners/drivers not in that race, organisers etc etc.
Honestly, is that what you really notice?!
Yes, it is. I'm just envious really, Goodwood have several hundred quid of mine in ticket fees, I wish it were me wandering around They’ll be involved in some way, car owners/drivers not in that race, organisers etc etc.

The number of passes per car is half that of Revival - so much so that life yesterday was much harder than usual for me, running solo to get the car prepped and ready (plus qually/race in the same day).
Further, there's zero hospitality, etc. Fairly basic tea vans and a couple of small food trailers.
I didn't get a chance to go back today, although I could have. If I had, I'd have dressed nice. They're taking it incredibly seriously - marshals everywhere specifically to reinforce distancing.
Here's a pic I took yesterday of the Supercar Paddock - those that have been to FoS will realise how surreal this is...
Agreed. As sad as it is that we couldn’t be there I thought it was a superb weekends entertainment. Yes- some of it was a bit bizarre (drone v car v bike, the driverless truck for example) and the ‘super’car manufacturer laps were pretty dull but I understand why they were there.
The racing was as ever superb though and served as a reminder of just how much I love the place and how much I’ve missed it this year.

It was better on the goodwood website, more talking to drivers and looking at cars instead of rhe bits on youtube.
Fantastic racing and cars, well done to Goodwood for pulling it off and to the racers for making the effort, hope that the bills aren't too big for those who sustained damage!

The racing is great, but the extended adverts for manufacturers thats on now is boring. I wonder how much the manufacturers pay for this and FOS to drive their cars around and have presenters pretend to be interested.

Hi,
There was talk of a Battle of Britain display/ "recreation"/ commemoration, but I've not seen anything, have I missed it, still to come or was it dropped? Any information gratefully recieved.
This went up on youtube earlier todayThere was talk of a Battle of Britain display/ "recreation"/ commemoration, but I've not seen anything, have I missed it, still to come or was it dropped? Any information gratefully recieved.
I would reckon there were around 2,000 to 3,000 people at the event (Members' Meeting is 30k and Revival 90k) and each car was allowed 3 tickets (driver, plus 2 helpers) and I think the VIP drivers were allowed 1 guest.
As I was in the centre paddock, it seemed quite busy because of the drivers and mechanics, but as soon as you exited the paddock it was empty and you really noticed it when on track, no spectators anywhere other than the chichane and pitwall.
My only gripe was not being able to watch the coverage, but my 2nd or 3rd lap of qulaifying was awesome, I got overtaken by all 4 Camaros at once and watched them dice for 2/3 corners until they pulled away and I realised I had the best seat in the house. I have not caught up on it all and posted bits on YouTube on my channel.
Personally I think Goodwood did a great job and whilst I knew my car was too slow (and probably me too), it was a once in a lifetime opportunity (hopefully!!) and was I extremely happy with 20th and 18th - bring on the Members' Meeting https://www.pistonheads.com/gassing/imgs/10.gif
