IIRC only MasterCard accepted as they are a sponsor. Visa, Amex etc no go.
No, Visa will be fine, Amex is the one to avoid, but that’s just because of individual vendor preferences.

I’ve had tickets rolled over for last year (Sunday) and I’m not that comfortable being part of the government experiment, added to that, the chances of us all being able to get a test within. 48 hours is slim due to work and other factors.
Whilst I’m sure most people attending will have a great time, we as a family don’t want to attend therefore I reluctantly asked for a refund to be told I couldn’t have one.
Cheesed me off to be honest although I’m sympathetic to their predicament, it’s not what we signed up for.

It's just the LFT test you can pick up for free from most pharmacies, many work places offer them, schools, Unis etc if you have kids there. Between my wife and I (both working in education) and our son we have several boxes of the things at home (7 tests per box!) You do the test youself at home, the result appears within about 25 minutes and you log the results on a website. It takes 1 minute to do the actual test.

Not directed at yourself specifically, but I do wonder what those who are unwilling to attend due to the ERP would have done if restrictions had lifted as scheduled on June 21st, chances are for large events similar 'restrictions' would have applied to attend anyway even if 'freedom day' had happened, that's exactly why they are doing it like this now.

You can order a pack of tests from the dot gov site, free of charge. They'll be on your doormat the next day.

It’s not me or the Mrs I’m particularly bothered about, it’s the lazy arsed grown up kids that’ll cock it up however, my real issue is that I don’t have a choice in the matter.
I don’t particularly want to be tracked/traced/register for another app. I’m quite happy waiting a while longer for some normality. If the meeting normal is something like this then so be it however, I’d then be able to make my own mind up if I wanted to attend a particular event under certain restrictions that I’d know about in advance, not after buying tickets.
I don’t what to sound like an old windbag (I am probably), I just feel that “suck it up” or don’t go isn’t really a great position to be in.
I wouldn’t diss anyone wanting to still attend, that’s your choice, have a great time.
Fwiw. It is a bloody good day out, usually.

I don't think you'd have any problems selling your tickets, demand now seems to be much greater than supply. There were quite a few on Twickets last week but they all went after the ERP announcement.

Pretty sure they said not to contact them and they’d be in touch with options. I’d be surprised if it wasn’t a no and await further.

Gary, I’m still looking for Sunday tickets if you can’t get a refund thanks mark

Someone has probably already cloned that Q.R. code and ticket, you’ll be ( at least ) the second person to be declined if you try to use it now. But seriously, don’t post pictures of your tickets with the QR codes showing wink.

I’m surprised people don’t realise you can just ‘pause’ track and trace on the app. There’s as much of a lie being sold in PH by certain people, as there is in the media.

The reality is you could (if you really wanted to protest things)

1. Not actually take the LFT but register it as negative on the app

2. Pause contact tracing on the app before the event

3. Not actually take any subsequent tests

To be clear I won’t be doing the above but if the idea of following the ‘rules’ is too much, there isn’t actually any enforcement of it. The idea the police will be knocking at your door because you turned contact tracing off is as wide of the mark as the idea that the govt are going to keep us in lockdown forever.

It's the standard NHS app that gives you your double jab QR code, I can't see anything on that that tracks you more than any phone does normally, once the registration process was done I turned off the camera and microphone access, the track and trace app is a separate thing.

Still waiting for the official confirmation but it looks like 'either / or' just the QR for the proof of a double jab 14 days before the event or the negative LFT confirmation.

If you take a mask and hand sanitizer, don't spend too long in close proximity to others / look with your eyes (rather than your hand as some do) and stay mostly outside I would have thought you would minimise the risks.

Let's face it, Covid will be at the FoS with some one or something, however how is that more dangerous than going to the supermarket that has had 100's or 1000's of people going through it the same day

My friend's father in law is joining us, and although he's had two jabs, he doesn't have a smartphone to prove it using the NHS app. Will he be able to show his stamped vaccine card?

I don’t think they’ll accept these, I’ve had a quick look at the requirements as because i live in wales, the sennedd here didn’t sign up to the jab proof app so even though i’ve had my two jabs and have a jab card it looks like i’m going to have to do the lft test prior to going.

I very much doubt it but Goodwood have said they will send out more details before the event of what is needed. If you register him for the NHS app on another device (your phone or maybe a PC?) you can select for a PDF to be emailed to you to print out which has a QR code on it showing that both jabs have been done which is the same thing I imagine Goodwood will want to scan from a phone. I've printed mine out already to take with me just as a backup to my phone.

You can also apply for a letter to be sent to your home address evidencing vaccine status. That’s via the .GOV website.
