This looks good, JYS driving his 1969 title winning Matra MS-80 02, a Red Bull RB8 doing a demonstration run and a display featuring the Tyrrell 003 and Tyrrell 006 being the main highlights.

Taking place in the grounds of Thirlstane Castle in the Scottish Borders near Lauder.

Profits to Race Against Dementia.

If it is a success it might become a Scottish verson of the Festival of Speed I guess.

Going on the Sunday ( part of Fathers Day present ), never been before . Any heads up on best time to arrive, parking etc . , gates open at 10am but dont want to be too early if not needed and nothing going on . Any advice appreciated .Main concern is when things start so we can work out when to set off / arrive for the event as travelling from Glasgow and my old bones dont want to be sitting around needlessly

As it’s a new event I doubt there’s many tips to give.

I’m going on the Sunday. Not seen a timetable for what’s on though.

Saturday sounded a bit more boy racerish “modified and performance” from memory. As I get into the Middle Ages I much prefer to look at classics.

I’m sure the event will be great either day. There’s an event site map now online.

Me too - a fun , 150 mile , top down drive from N Yorkshire up the lovely A68 . 6-am start on a summer morning - deep joy.

I've not been to one of these type days before, do the marshals try & direct all the cars into specific car parks to keep the types together or do they just lump classic / semi-classics in beside the modern day metal?

For this show everything is grouped, all cars have been assigned a pitch. Here is the plan I was sent for Sunday.
I’m in G27

Sorry I should have been clearer, I meant for visitors not people showing their cars.

You'll just be in general parking then, all mixed in, theres a different setup this year due to the sprint element, different carpark from normal with separate exit point on to the A697.

Is there anyone who didn’t get advance tickets going to hope they have availability on the door?

100 miles is a bit of a treck to not get in!

Tickets have been on sale a while. They said they have them on the door this morning on Facebook.
