Has anyone managed to book earlybird tickets?
I spent the morning stuck in a loop being told to log in to access it, now I'm getting 'unexpected failure' after entering card details, even after switching browser!
Yes - my girlfriend booked ours earlier on this afternoon went through all OK.I spent the morning stuck in a loop being told to log in to access it, now I'm getting 'unexpected failure' after entering card details, even after switching browser!

For me the Members Meeting is more enjoyable, but because there's more actual action and less people.
I think that might be the one for me too. Although I see that 'Fellowship' Membership comes in at 89 quid. Does this guarantee you a ticket to the Member's Meeting or do you still have to be quick out of the blocks to get tickets for that? I like the idea of the Revival, but I don't really fancy flouncing around in tweed all weekend, I'm more of a combat shorts and trainers kind of bloke, so have never really considered the Revival as something to go to.

Been every year since 1998. Very dissapointed, couldnt believe virtually no historic sports cars at all. Lemans prototypes, group c (i think 1 car), gt3, sports endurance racers, classic gt's like e type/ 250 gto/ cobra. Just lots of bloody EV's.
not going next year , i'll stick to the revival.
I’ve been every year since 1999.not going next year , i'll stick to the revival.
I noticed the lack of those too, however it was a celebration of F1 and there were quite a few there!
We went on Saturday and as already mentioned the sun was brutal. Grabbing shade, water, beer and/or wings helped offset that. But splashing out on grandstand seats again was a lifesaver for us old farts as they meant we could mooch around the site while having easy access to shaded seating whenever needed.
I may have grabbed forty winks in the stand opposite the house while the self congratulatory awards were going on...
It is very samey and repetitive - and given that I haven't missed a single FOS I feel as though I am allowed to have that opinion.
My daughter was still six months away from being born when the first event was held and some years later she ended up working at the house for a short time while at uni. So I have invested time and money attending over the years.
The past few years I've been going with a small group of friends and it's rare that we'll brave the crowds of the various paddocks to see the same historic F1 cars again (for instance) as there's only so many times you need to see Jim Clark's Lotus etc. And this year's heat meant there was no way any of us fancied the climb up to the rally stage and the hour plus wait for tractor transport in no shade didn't appeal either.
We always enjoy poking around any new or recent developments, but even they seemed to be thin on the ground this year. Almost as if car manufacturers are unsurprisingly still unsure about the immediate future.
However, it was another good day out as usual. Lots of noise and smells to do with car stuff in the company of like minded friends is always a good thing.
I've already booked our earlybird/loyalty tickets for next year.

There used to be specific themed displays and demonstrations like Top Fuel Dragsters or BMX etc on the Cricket Pitch in years gone by. Is that still a thing or has the space been given over to manufacturer displays now?
I assume the cricket pitch was the part cordoned off in the middle in front of the house?red_duke said:

It's still a thingThis year they built large dirt jumps for MTB, BMX and Moto X. My Son enjoyed these shows, watching the MTB riders do front flips and a double back flip

Yes, that double back flip was absolutely outstanding. I guess only a tiny proportion of attendees bother to go an see the Goodwood Action Sports show but it was absolutely top draw skills. Highly recommend it in future to anyone who likes that kind of thing.
I watched the double back flip with my own eyes and still can't comprehend how he did it!Jurgen100 said:

I watched the double back flip with my own eyes and still can't comprehend how he did it!My son and his mate (both 10) were astonished. I've got a PK Ripper in the garage that I bought drunk on eBay one night, before I even knew my wife. I feel a ceremonial handover to the younger generation coming on, to see what he can do with it!

Agreed I have been several years but my last time was in 2017 yet make an effort to get the BBQ out and watch the live stream when I cannot make it and have a few friends down. A normal shootout is around 60 mins but re-watching this years on You-tube was a measly 30 minutes!!not going next year , i'll stick to the revival.
Same with the Rally. Not really a lot going around this year.
Cost of living catching up with everyone I guess :P.
