I havent been to one of these for a while but I got apporved parking for my Supra on the track so I went. My two take aways were -
It was very busy with people, which I think is great for the community.
The Hypercars were awesome to see but turned up a little late for me, it was peek capacity so it was rammed at 10am when they turned up.
Why do they add the Hypercars at 10am? Is it because owners of expensive cars like a lie in? It was very busy with people, which I think is great for the community.

Very odd Supercar Sunday. Half empty before 10am (cars & people), then mental busy when the rich people turned up, making it impossible to see anything they had brought along. Not as good as it used to be.
I haven't been to SS at GWBC for a good few years. But it was always a "arrive at 8am latest, then f
k off by 930" job.If this hang around till the hypralusso lot turn up at 10am and make a gaudy entrance, I doubt I'll be returning any time soon.
Saw elsewhere that TurboTerrific of this parish didn't go to Goodwood but instead chose a charity event to take his F1 to.

I ve just been accepted to display my car at one of the breakfast meets but the website only shows two upcoming meets a GRRC members only one and a classic one!
Apparently there will be four!
Seems very confusing!

p.s. I know Goodwood are now suggesting attendees make a charitable donation but if you don't do it online are there still people with buckets collecting at the gate as you leave?
ETA: Well, the answer seems to be no, or at least I didn't see any bucket ratters as I left the circuit today. I guess I'll have to make a donation online next time.
Anyway, an enjoyable event today, I liked the way the classics were on track from Chicane to the pits, American cars on the main straight and modern cars towards Madgwick (more or less) with the paddocks themed. Shame there weren't more pre-war cars there, I find them more interesting these days.

I enjoyed it too. I was hoping for a few more really special things by the Jackie Stewart Pavilion, I guess you get used to seeing road registered 962s and stuff there. No F40 or 50 was a shame, but it was a nice and relaxed morning. First time having my own car on display there, which was nice (especially getting in early) but this pic epitomises it to me most (from a photo download on my reader’s ride thread of a driving weekend that included the breakfast meet). Where else are you going to see a Baja bug sandwiched by a Diablo SV and a fantastic prewar Bentley while you have a coffee in the sunshine??

Ha! Well I wish it was one of those in your picture!
Just an Alpina B3S Touring. Tucked away by the old control tower. Still a very nice experience to get in early and would definitely do it again. I ll make more of an effort if there s a next time.
I thought your car was ace! If you ever want to sell it…Just an Alpina B3S Touring. Tucked away by the old control tower. Still a very nice experience to get in early and would definitely do it again. I ll make more of an effort if there s a next time.

You must have left early. All the really fancy stuff arrived in a convoy at about 10.30 ishI spent a very frustrating half hour in the early hours of this morning trying to find my ticket for today's breakfast club. Nothing in the app, and the website just took me round and round in circles through outdated pages. I gave up and went back to bed! When will Goodwood sort its IT out?
