Has anyone else found in segment explorer almost every off road segment has gone from the explorer maps? The segments still exist if you find them from one of your rides but they simply don't appear on explorer. I think its been since the military base highlighting fuss. I was still finding more trails down on the IOW by using explorer, indeed pieced together some of my best rides that way, went to see if I could build a new ride today and now completely useless as all that shows are road segments.

Had a fun Strava moment the other day, went on a mountain bike ride and later looking at my route that not many people ride and I was surprised any one else had ridden that day noticed I wasn’t fasted on the day, in fact got my araenkicked on every segment so thought wonder who’s the fast kid? Turned out a pro Enduro world cup rider for Orbea so I didn’t feel to bad.

Anyone else found they ride the same places routinely that a pro does from Strava ?

Lots of the Surrey ones are from Olympic event/London classic thing. But there are a few half decent pro's who train in Surrey. There were a few segments where I managed to just about go quicker than the London/Surrey classic peloton on my TT bike, but few and far between!

I’m suddenly getting loads of spam kudos from alluring looking women with dirty pictures in their profiles.

Although it was mildly amusing at first, I’m now beating them back with a stick, the minxes.

Is anyone else getting this? I’ve not altered any of my settings.

I reported a couple a few months ago. Russian, with X-rated pictures on the profiles. I reported them because I follow a few youngsters on Strava, and they follow me. I couldn't give a stuff about what's available on the wider internet. Whatever your fetish, fill yer boots, type of thing. But Strava ought to be free from this nonsense. Especially when attracting more women into cycling is a stated aim for a lot of event and race organisers. Porno pictures from spammers and hackers is the last thing (most of them, I presume) want to see on joining up.

I've had to block a couple of Russian "athletes" too. I kept getting dozens of "X is following you..." emails from the same couple of Freds on a daily basis, filling up my 'notifications' box so that it was hard to keep track of useful stuff.

Some funny stuff on there, quite a few comedians who put up photos of genuinely giggle-worthy stuff. But there's too many idiots trying to spoil it now.

Strava did respond to my reports, and said something along the lines of "we're working on it". Whatever plan they come up with to clean things up, though, the spammers will find another way to get through, more's the pity.

Yep, the bot kudos thing is happening regularly. I look down the list of activities for all those I follow and they all have it.

Strava seem to be removing them fairly quickly.

I started getting the spam porn kudos and follower requests recently.

It turns out my privacy settings for Strava were, as I intended, keeping my off all the public leaderboards etc. However I recently started using Zwift and had linked this to Strava. My privacy settings for Zwift were lower, hence the spam. Changed the settings and no issues since.

I have just been messing around with linking Strava to some of the Apple health apps and MyFitnessPal etc. So maybe it was that?
