Yesterday on the Downs - stunning morning. Then I found out it was National Beer Day which kind of fixed the route for the route home

First time up the Gap, stunning scenery. Was a very steep climb....(don't know why the photo came out like that)

I'm guessing you live near me judging by the view. Which pub is that? beer

Out at silly o'clock this morning to dodge the heat, means long shadows.

I was out early-ish to avoid the sun too but on Saturday. I only took one photo and that was at the shortest licensed airfield in the UK, Netherthorpe near Worksop.

Today was warm, very warm. So maybe not the best day to do 65 miles, but it was still a nice day out

It was certainly a hot one this weekend!

On Saturday my wife was doing Parkrun, so I took our little boy to cheer her along:

Then on Sunday I got out for a fun XC loop:

The view was near the top of Chantry Lane, Storrington, looking east. There's a bridleway that goes off from the last corner near the car park, and heads down to Greyfriars Lane in Storrington, I hardly ever go that way and don't know why!
The Pub was the Star in Steyning, nice little garden with a stream running along the side.

That's Kithurst hill I think? I've never swerved off that way, I usually head straight through the car park towards Amberley. I think I should detour if there's a pub at the end of it.

Can we have videos of last month's ride? That charity sportive thing I did was filmed & here it is. I'm the dork staring at his phone behind Sally Gunnell.

Kithurst is a bit further west, and on the South Downs Way. Have a look at it on Strava, it's just before the descent into Storrington. https://www.strava.com/activities/1038334438/share...
The pub was in Steyning, on the ride home. I was celebrating National Beer Day! The Bridge in Amberley is good too, although not quite on the river

Few from this mornings ride to work. Always nice to see the sun rise on the longest day.

Looks like you enjoyed a better sunrise than I did. Glad I didn't get up early specially for it
