There's something about matt black and tan that just works
Was torn between black or tan. Saddle that fits my ass correctly is a Charge Pan which was only in black on the bay the other night when I pull the trigger on a saddle.

The Torino-Nice Rally. I did the inaugural edition last year, along with richardxjr and JustinF, and enjoyed it so much that this year I went back for more. It's a mixture of tough climbing, incredible scenery, crazy descents and great company. Thoroughly recommended. I'll be there next year too.

I like the sound of that - not sure I'll get there from here though.

Anyway, if that all sounds too vigorous...

Am I right you spent some of the time riding with Peta McSharry?

As much as I hate climbing, photos like these make the event appear on my radar.

No, I'd never have kept up, but we bumped into each other at stops a coupla three times along the way.

It is a bit hilly, that's true. About 20,000m over just 750km on the full route, and about half of that is on rough gravel. But the views....

Ahhh, I follow her on twitter and saw a photo, and recognised your bike if you're wondering. Yes I need to get out more...

I too would be a willing reader if you were to do a write up.

The water trough shot? That would be her, on the left, taking it smile She stood out as being particularly nice, on a ride full of nice people.

Quick spin down the canal, went dark fast & only had my led strobe on the front, interesting last 10k, including binning it into a load of nettles rotate

Four in Elkin Wood by Lewis Craik, on Flickr

Just a local ride for me, but it was good to get back out again, even if it felt like the winter mud had already arrived.

Went out on my own this morning, managed to do 40 miles around South Staffordshire. I took this picture at Teddersley Boat Yard at Penkridge while having a brief water stop
